£16.99 per month here. PureGym in the UK, I've no complaints, plenty of equipment and free classes.

Hey feel free to add me guys, been AWOL for a few months but getting back on the saddle

Thanks, that answered the question. Yeah, ive not been tracking with MFP for a while, i think i'll go with TDEE and see how I get on for a while. If nothing else, it'll cut out the hassle of figuring out my calories burned through exercise.

im 239, down from 267. Not sure how low I want to get. I'll aim for 210 and just see how I look from there. I'm 6'3 and have decent strength, so literaly no idea what my ideal weigh should be. 1-1.5 lbs a week has worked so far, so im happy to stick to that. It was just the numbers that were confusing me, as the 3000 was…

Always open to new mfp buddies. Feel free to add, I have an open diary and log daily.

Feel free to add me. I log daily and have an open diary. Its not always the best looking diary but I stick to my goals (usually :P) That goes for everyone, the more the merrier.

Hey! I'm from Scotland, have family who live kinda near Finland (Norwegians). Strangely enough I get called a Viking a lot, though I am 6'3 with long blondish hair and a beard so I cant really complain :P always looking for new MFP friends so feel free to give me an add.

Posts like this make me realise how lucky I am to have family who are supportive. Must be tough on my bro when I have to turn down a night out or having a few beers because of calories, but he just takes it in his stride. Feel free to give me an add anyone who needs encouragement or active friends. I log daily and have an…

Feel free to add me guys, I log daily and have an open diary though my choices aren't the healthiest I do stick to my calorie goals.

I'm 17lbs down and 10 weeks in. My fortnightly weigh in is Thursday which will mark 10 weeks, so just need a 3lb loss.
-
That's one of the reasons I weigh fortnightly as opposed to weekly.
-
Feel free to add me. I log every day (including bad days) but am a student so my diet isn't the best. I usually stick to my goals though and am doing well.
-
Sounds like a plan. I'm a student with male flatmates so beer is pretty much a daily thing and accounts for a decent portion of my calories. Will be interesting to see if cutting out for a month improves my losses.
-
Personally I track my calories and make a note on a pad each day and have a running total for the fortnight (I weigh in fortnightly) so if I see that I'm slacking a bit I can make up for the extra calories in later days.

Glasgow, Scotland here. Feel free to add me, that goes for everyone :)

Yeah, I'm on vacation in the Netherlands and the barcodes are coming up accurate too. It always pays to double check it against the nutritional info on the pack though, as I've stumbled across a few barcodes where people have entered incorrect info in the past.

Soda was a big thing for me before I started. After a week or so of switching to diet soda, I find it hits the spot just as well. I'll have the occasional can of regular just for that little extra though, but am always able to squeeze it into my calorie limits.
-
What was your start weight? I'm about the same as you, 16lbs down after 8 weeks and I find it a lot easier than I thought I would but like you said, just need to stick to a deficit.
-
I'm due a weigh in on Thursday which will mark 8 weeks roughly since I started. I'm in the "eat what I like but stick to calorie goals" group. There are just certain things id rather not have to give up, I find it much easier that way.
-
My diary is open, feel free to add or have a look. My food choices aren't the healthiest, but I tend to stick to my calorie limits.
-
I'm 8 weeks in and 16lbs down (from 267-251) and not much of a difference yet. I think its just dependant on your body type how quickly it will look like its dropping off

That website claims 2286 calories once the stats are inserted

Thanks all for the info. I guess it'll just be a case of checking when I get home and figuring it out. At least now I wont be disappointed or too surprised by what the scale reads, but can just apply the information to future cycles.

Male rivalry :) I have a two brother and an older brother (3 years older) who have both always been heavier than me. We were all big and broad, but my twin was normally around 2 stone heavier and my older brother was another stone on top of that. Over the years I eventually drew level with my twin then one day we weighed…

100 miles a week sounds like something I should push for :) I had mainly just been walking back home about 90 minutes a day, if I had known cycling would be that much more efficient timewise I'd have to a bike from the beginning. Walking is just so tedious in comparison.
-
Thanks for the info, will just keep on cycling then weigh when I get back and see how accurate it is.
-
Hehe it was 2h30mins in total

SW 267 (01 Feb) CW 253 GW 244 I haven't weighed in for 2 weeeks, doing so today and expect to lose 2-3lbs so hoping for 6-7 more in April

Feel free to add me guys, my diary is open currently aiming around 1800 a day and am updating every day

Not so young anymore (I'm 27) but worked at McDonalds for 8 years. Both full time and then part time while I was at university. Feel free to ask any questions, and best of luck with your goal :)
