I have two "kids," ages 22 and 24, both boys. Or should I say men? I am ready for grandchildren that I can spoil rotten and then send home:laugh: I always wanted a little girl, but I think God knew what he was doing. If we had a daughter, my husband would have spoiled her rotten. He already does it with our nieces.

I have both types of scales and they are about 5 off from each other. I don't know which one is right. I just use the same one for my "official" weigh-in each week. It may not be quite right, but it is consistent.

I used to consume 2-3 20 oz diet Mountain Dews a day. Then I started planning a weeklong hike and decided I was not carrying that much pop on my back. I had never thought of riding my horse as exercise, though it did feel like exercise this weekend when I spent an hour giving the neighbor's kids pony rides around the yard. You cut the spaghetti squash in half longwise and bake it in the oven till done. Then scrap it out. It comes out stringy and looks similar to pasta. After that I put it in a 9x13 dish with my favorite spaghetti sauce and top with a little cheese and bake at 350 till bubbly. I love it! Try it! You'll like it! :wink:

Instant oatmeal. I was eating two every morning for breakfast thinking that oatmeal is good for me. Also, peanut butter and nutella. I don't even eat canned soup anymore. The sodium content is outrageous!

How would you count something like weedeating for 45 minutes to an hour? I don't have alot of time in the evenings and if I spend that much time on yard work I don't feel like doing more exercise, so I consider that my exercise for the day.

When I do something like last Saturday I spent 6 hours shopping with my mom I just put in 3 hours at a slow pace. This isn't going to count as aerobic, but it is activity that I don't normally get since I have an office job and spend most of my time during the week sitting on my bum. :wink:

I LOVE Zumba! I have the Wii game, the videos, and I go to a class 2x a week when I can. I have also done Zumba in the circuit at Curves. The game is okay, the videos are good, but doing it with friends is the best. I would go everyday if I had the time. It is great for toning, especially the belly dancing part!:love:

Do you use alot of artifical sweetners? I have found that when I drink too much diet mountain dew my knees and ankles swell and I retain water like crazy. I can cut them out and within a day I am back to normal. I drink mostly water now and an occasional half cut sweet tea from McDonalds when I need something with flavor.

You can do it! Find yourself a friend with the same goals. That is how I got started on MFP. A friend a work was doing it and encouraged me to try. I have have lost 5 pounds since starting. It really makes me conscious of what I am eating and I try to make better choices because of it. I think your goal of just not gaining…
