I agree on having room in your day for a night snack. Also finding a hobby or something else to do besides snacking. I find hobbies that keep your hands busy are best as that is sometimes what the body wants to do. I took up the ukulele a few months ago and try to practice most evenings.

Lots of drinkers on here, :D I love my rum and a good beer, love Steamwhistle and Red Stripe as well as local craft beers. I am cutting down as I drank way too much last month and it wasn't helping the waistline. But I have been enjoying my daily ounce of Appleton XY and I make sure to leave room in my meal plan for it.

You are a stronger woman than me, I won't cook meat in my house anymore. My bf became vegetarian and my kid eats meat at his Dads, Grandmas or at restaurants (unless he is trying to be on my good side then he orders veggie, lol)

That is super!! I have been wearing some of my skinny pants and they are getting looser. I have a pair of yoga pants that I used to barely be able to get over my hips now they go on easy and have about an inch extra at the waist. Woo hoo!!

I think enough people have said that you don't need to drastically cut your sugars, but if you are looking to cut down the hidden sugars that are in many foods be sure to check labels as sometimes foods that you wouldn't think had a lot of sugar in them do. It seems quite logical that removing some of the broth would reduce the sodium a decent amount since the stock likely contains a good portion of the sodium. As you say though, it will still be somewhat high due to the veggies soaking up the sodium. You can't always make things from scratch so convenience foods sometimes…
