  • I have recently started WW. I stayed the same weight for weeks when I did MFP on my own, and lost 3lb in my first weigh in. For me personally I find having a controlled weigh in not only helps me stay on track, but it also stops me from obsessing about weighing myself on the scale at home. I think it is all based on trial…
  • I think it depends where you distribute your fat. I am a pear shape and have only gone down 1 dress size on bottom but have gone down 2 on top. 30lb is 30lb though so be proud!! :flowerforyou: Besides it's best to be going down rather than going up!
  • I had a very naughty weekend, weighed myself sunday morning and I gained 4lb. Upped my water intake, did 50 minutes of Circuit training yesterday and it's all gone today. I think the exercise helped as I sweated the majority of the water weight out haha
  • I was on vodka and diet soda for the majority of the night (but it was a lot of vodka! :embarassed:) and a few beers...plus there was a lot of finger food there, and we all know finger food= sodium! I've upped my water intake for the past few days and got back into my exercise routine. I attend a weekly weight…
  • Not sure yet, It was saturday night. Hoping it'll clear off by Wednesday. I'm pretty sure it's impossible to gain 4lb of fat in one weekend? :ohwell:
  • I found myself stuck at a plateau for about 6 weeks, I joined weight watchers 2 weeks ago and have lost 3lb. For me the fear of a public weigh in keeps me motivated and to stick the plan :)
  • I think you're eating too much processed food and too many carbs. I would try and look for healthier more sustainable proteins I.e your frozen Iceland southern fried chicken fillets. Meat can be expensive and as a student I know this. I found a brand of frozen chicken which is only £2 a pack from Morrisons, it's by Spice &…
  • With you doing quite a lot of strenuous exercise, I could only think that it's possibly your body retaining water in your muscles. I have started doing Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and in week 2 or 3 had a 2lb gain in water weight and then seemed to have pleateau'd. I've changed my goals on here to 40%…
  • I'm joining today. Got stuck at a pleateu so am going to give myself a change. Brothers wedding is in 4 weeks and would love to drop about 7lb. Will just put my points in the notes section of this site :)
  • I swear even the people who are like nearly 10lb heavier than me still look smaller!!
  • Thank you! I'll change that now :)

  • I'm so glad i saw this! I've gained 2lb in the past week (according to my scale) which left me severely disappointed after doing Jillian Michaels banish fat boost metabolism every day and eating about 1100 calories. It's funny though, last week i took 3 days off exercising and lost 2lb in those 3 days. I'm hoping it's just…
  • Hey guys, i've done it 4 times this week. Was a bit upset earlier though as the scale said i'd gained 2lb...don't know if it's that i've built muscle or water retention? Who knows. I don't think i'm eating enough anyway, i'm barely making 1100 calories a day and with burning about 500 when you do the dvd I think my body is…
  • Hmmm interesting. My weight loss has slowed down considerably. My calorie intake has been increasingly low, barely making 1100 a day. I've also been exercising 5x a week burning around 500 calories each session. I think I'm going to increase my calorie intake to 1300 and eat a lot cleaner. My brothers wedding is in 5 weeks…
  • Jillian is my absolute favourite. I did 30DS about 2 months ago and i'm now doing her 'Banish fat boost metabolism'. The workout is 45 mins with a 5 min cool down. It is very similar to the shred but there isn't as much strength and ab work. It tends to focus on cardio. I am dripping with sweat when I'm finished but i'm…
  • I just did it for the first time today. HOLY COW!! This is DEFINITELY a lot more harder than 30DS! Excellent workout though.
  • Count me in! I've just ordered it now. I was a big fan of 30DS and got fantastic results.
  • hey guys, so heres the drill. unfortunately i had to shorten my shred as i'm going home 2 days earlier than planned due to dr appointments. so mine was more of a 28 day shred than a 30...never the less i still got fantastic results! overall i've lost 6lb (may not seem a lot but i've already lost a significant amount of…
  • was the last day of my shred today. will post up official weight/measurement loss tomorrow :) went jean shopping today and came out with 2 pairs a size smaller than i was a month ago! so happy :) shredding has definitely been worth it!
  • LV3D7 done. I've lost 4lb since doing the shred and 6" so far. Will tell you results officially on Tuesday when it's complete :)
  • LV3D6 done. Did LV1 first aswell as a 'warm up' but it still totally kicked my butt, pushed through with level 3 afterwards and then went for a walk. Feeling good today!

  • LV3D5 complete! can pretty much do everything now without stopping for 5 seconds, the last cardio section is a killer though, i have to stop for a beat or i swear my legs will cave in after all of those jumps!
  • The only pain I've noticed is my shins. Eased off yesterday but seems to be back today. Just gonna have to power through I think. Going to do LV3D5 in a few hours.
  • I've been doing jumping squats, static lunges and pendulum lunges on the 30 day shred and have managed to lose an inch off each thigh :) tae bo was really good aswell. Although this being said, I don't think you can lose fat in particular places it's just where your body decides to take it!
  • LV3D4 complete. The pain in my shins has eased off more so I'm able to do the exercises properly. Hoping it'll stay this way!
  • D3L3 done
  • LV3D2 kind of done. I only managed about 17 minutes today, once the last ab workout came i just couldnt do it i don't know what was up with me. Just attempted to do some Tae Bo but only managed about 10 minutes. Think shark week is coming up or something. Have to go food shopping later and I walk there and back so atleast…
  • wowza! i'm not sure. i remember the first few days of the shred my quads were in agony, i couldn't walk properly. they eased off on day 4 or 5 level one. maybe just see how you go and once the soreness subsides (if you have any) continue with c25k?
  • D1LV3!!! started a day early. it is hard but i've actually enjoyed it a lot more than the other levels. i've got my friends 21st birthday in two weeks and i really want to look good for it. i've lost about 4lb and 4 inches so far so i'm hoping the level 3 will really go out with a bang. I think I might start doing some…
