I got him to do MFP and he lost 20 pounds in a couple of months...me? About 8. The holidays made him go back though! He still weighs more than me but he's a lot taller.

I work out alone in the gym, but I want to try some classes there once I get more comfortable with my strength and body. I also do Insanity a couple of times a week at home. I find being alone at the gym is almost like meditation for me, and is very relaxing

I agree with what the others said. Calorie counting and exercise is the only thing that works.

I'm counting calories and so far it has been awesomely working for me. My boss on the other hand is counting carbs and that is working for her. I don't fully understand carb counting, so I'm gonna stick with what's easy, and working.

My largest size was 12 and I'm at a 10 now. I am 174 now, and was in a 12 at 182. I feel like around 190ish I would have needed the 14 for my body type, but I carry all my weight on my BUTT

You're detoxing! Changing bad eating habits to good eating habits will do that for a while. At first, it may be easier to only focus on calorie intake and expenditure, rather than the content of food. As you get more used to the changes, then you can look into the details. Not yet at least...I just want to be able to fit into my clothes from 3 years ago. I gained 20 pounds my freshman year of college, 20 my sophomore, and 20 my junior year. I really want to be back to 140 by the summer. I guess my only goal is to be able to run for 30 minutes straight right now. I'm at 15 minutes!

I did some math...I've been wanting to lose 40 pounds. On my calendar, I wrote out what my weight would be on every monday if I lost 2 pounds a week. Last monday said 180, today said 178, next monday 176 etc. It just so happens that in 20 weeks, at 2 pounds a week, equaling my 40 pounds....it will be memorial day. THE DAY…

I add benefiber to a lot of my meals that I make in the kitchen. I think it helps keep me fuller, and it also helps with digestion! It's so great. My boyfriend does not like things like that (healthy additives...healthy in general), and he doesn't even know I add it in. That's how tasteless it is!
