  • O, I'm in the same boat - I feel your pain and frustration! What we're doing makes sense though. Lets stick with it x
  • I looked into this program too, but after seeing the meal plan and getting no response to my question on FB as to how to adapt the program to vegetarian (other people asked too, and got no reply) I decided it wasn't for me. The training side of things looks great though. I think the first phase is geared more towards…
  • I love hearing stories like this. Congratulations on nailing every move - we are ALL proud of you!! K x
  • I actually move my scales to three different locations in the house as I am convinced our floors are uneven! Then I take an average reading...
  • When the person on the machine next to you is (quite obviously) checking out your screen when you adjust resistance, speed etc. Then they surreptitiously change what they are doing as well. I'm like Noooooo, this is MY workout!
  • Thanks for the responses. I have used kettlebells with my PT for a couple of years and love them, but have only just started using them by myself in my workouts. I love that they use compound momvements AND get the heart rate going! I've even asked my SO for an adjustable kettlebell for Christmas so I can have one at home.…
  • Welcome! You can add me if you like...I know what you mean about the self-sabotage!! Good luck :) x

  • I'd like to know the answer to this as well :)
  • I'm with Stimpackus - I use the Phyto pea protein and love it. Whey powder gave me belly "issues", but this one does not. It apparently has a really high bio-availability (82% or somesuch), and it only has three ingredients (all natural). I make a breakfast smoothie out of it, with almond milk, frozen berries and some nut…
  • Welcome to MFP, feel free to add me if you like (I have about 78lbs to lose!)
  • I am a size 12 and it is ridiculously difficult to get larger shoes here in Australia. Have you guys heard of Barefoottess.com? They have an amazing range (up to a size15!) but I haven't ordered from them yet as the international shipping is a little pricey.
  • You look incredible - well done!! xx
  • I'm 6ft 1 and my goal when I joined this site two weeks ago was 185 (I'm currently 261 or thereabouts), but I'm thinking of revising it to 195...I've always been pretty muscular and I don't want to compromise on that for the sake of numbers. Besides, I've never been less than 228 in my adult life and I have no idea what…
  • I'm an Aussie too :)
  • If it's an option, I would try and book in with a personal trainer, even if it's just for a few sessions. They will be able to guide you to safely work out within your limits. I used to think PT's were a real luxury (and to some extent, they are) but the assistance and motivation is priceless. Failing that, I would suggest…
  • I downloaded "Seconds" (there's a free version and a pro version) so you can set yourself circuit programs or HIIT programs etc. It's pretty cool. I would probably only use it for cardio through as I prefer to do my weights to reps/sets and not time.
  • I'm in Radelaide, been here for 2 and a half years :)
  • Ohmygoodness - your blog is amazing. Food p0rn! xxx
  • I'm veg too - I don't eat dairy and I'm going to be transitioning out eggs soon too soon. I'm finding that pea protein powder is making a real difference. It doesn't taste totally awesome but the brand I use has only 3 ingredients (the protein, natural vanilla and natural sweetener) so I don't mind. Just add a couple of…
  • Welcome! There are plenty of us Aussies here, I'm sure you will find loads of support and encouragement. Add me if you like, and good luck! K x
  • I'm not a professional, but from my own experience exercise is the single best treatment I have found for anxiety and depression. As hard as it is to get up, go out and get the heart really pumping, I truly believe this makes such a difference. There is some science-y explanation about chemicals released in the brain when…
  • My list is so long! Lunges, for sure. Any sort of step-up. Abs. Push-ups. Etc
  • Welcome! I think this site is full of great motivation in itself. This morning I was procrastinating (BADLY) about going to the gym, so I looked at some "success stories" posts to get me out the door - I have a lifetime full of 'before' photos but dammit I want the 'after' photos too! I'm sure you'll find the site really…
  • That's amazing, well done!!
  • I would agree with those who have mentioned protein. I'm a vegetarian too, and find it really difficult to get enough protein in my diet. I use protein powder twice a day (blended with almond milk and a few berries) to make sure I get enough. And to the person who mentioned getting enough water, I agree with them too…
  • Agree with the others who said Stevia. All natural, no nasty chemicals
  • I take a probiotic, a vegan B complex and pea protein powder. The B complex makes me insanely energetic!
  • Hi Lucy, The cross trainer is under "elliptical trainer" in the cardio listings.... There is some debate about "eating back" your workout calories, it seems that most think it is a good idea, with good food choices (obvs) as it keeps your metabolism kicking over and your body doesn't go into starvation mode. Good luck with…
  • I love all these NSV's - SO inspriring! Well done everyone
