  • Got up at 0500 and did Warrior for the first time. Kicked my butt...that seems to be a common them this first week. :)
  • My wife and I just started 2 days before you. Are you doing the Classic schedule?
  • The Challenge for the first time. My arms are noodles now, but I like it.
  • Thanks! I set what I thought was a realistic goal for pushups and it worked out about right. I did a bonus pushup on 2 of the sets, but my last for of the staggered pushups were 4 sets of 1. We're using the bands for pullups right now. I picked a pretty good number that, too. CVX tomorrow.
  • Hello, everyone! My name is Jeff. My wife (Tasha) and I just started P90X3 last weekend. Liking the workouts so far. We're doing The Challenge tonight. I watched the workout last night to see what we're in for. Question about that...Did you set your goals low the first time you did it? I know I can do 10-15 standard…
  • 49ers and Broncos...then the 49er win their 6th Superbowl on my birthday!
  • Is it your calories in vs calories out dial that says "under?" Are you entering food on the Fitbit site? The changes in the calories you're seeing is the adjustment to your caloric "budget" so to speak, based on your activity level for the day. You can sync your fitbit to your MFP account. Just go to the APPS tab and pick…

  • Fantastic! You should definitely be proud of yourself.
  • Great! Also, some races have pacers using this method. I know they had them at the Lincoln Marathon.

  • Oh yeah...it rained, too. About 8.5-9 miles in. I need to wear a hat if there's a chance of rain. It felt good, but the rain made the sweat run down into my eyes.
  • But he's not simply expressing his beliefs. He's using insulting and belittling statements like we run from our problems and running decreases one's manlihood. So, yeah...he's going to get attack for stuff like that.
  • Thanks!
  • Sure thing! I guess it would have been helpful if I had said it was KMs.

  • Hey! That was my first 1/2 Marathon last year. I didn't get in this year, though. I thought the crowds were great. Finishing in Memorial Stadium was pretty cool, too. I'm running much smaller 1/2 this weekend in Papillion.
  • My current favorite are my Mizuno Wave Rider 15s. They seem to fit my feet and running style just right. I've liked several different makes and models over the years. I don't think there is a shoe that will be great for every one. Let the haters hate.
  • I found this site, but I think it's just using a constant pace for the race. http://www.clinics.runningroom.com/paceband.php

  • I like it. I always feel strong at the end of my runs/races. They have an app like the one you linked in on their site, too. http://www.smartpacing.com/index.php?page=PaceBands BTW, my previous post was supposed to say that I bought a package of bright green wristbands AT Nobbies, not AND Nobbies.

  • This page kind of explains the strategy behind it. http://www.smartpacing.com/index.php?page=smartpacing I make my own wristbands for pacing. I use the smart pacing method. I bought a package of bright green wristbands and Nobbies and I write in my pace and splits for each mile. The runnersworld app looks like it using…

  • Definitely agree with this. Injuries happen. Sorry you're feeling down, though.

  • Congrats! Well done.
  • I ran 7 miles yesterday. Just posted my mileage.
  • My 3rd 1/2 Marathon on May 19th in Papillion, Nebraska.
  • I don't think that's too ambitious. I went from 1:50:37 to 1:45:00 in 4 months. That was between my 1st and 2nd half. I felt like I knew my body better in the second half. I kind of held back in the first one for fear of hitting the wall. You're trained up, now. Take some time to recover, then get back at it with a…

  • What: Me Where: Kickin' it at the Creek 10k When: May 2009 Why: First 10k and my arms actually had some definition.
  • Actually, that's exactly what it says: It makes sense: Eating early in the day keeps us from "starvation eating" later on. But it also jump-starts your metabolism, says Elisabetta Politi, RD, MPH,
