Hi LadyNeshoba, I feel for you and the situation you and your family are in. Is there a Huntington's society that you could join for at least some support and information on the likely progression of the illness. If there is then at least you could speak to people who are in a similar situation and discuss coping…

Tandoori chicken might be a good option. Tasty, no rice just salad and dressing. It's very tasty and low in calories. Don't know how many though - sorry!

I'd never heard of almond milk until two days ago when I joined this site. I don't think you can get it in this country though.....

Me too so you're not alone. Like you MFP just did it - I didn't stipulate how much I wanted to lose a week. So I' m doing it. I'm also keeping a points record (as per weightwatchers) to try and work out if they are the same - I can't work it out though...........

You've had some good support from bgredenbaugh, and I want to say that I really admire yourr attitude, and the fact that you want to loose weight. If I can be of some small support - well - I'm here!

Were you successful though - did you kick the habit? I know it's a bit off topic, but thinking along those lines myself. (stopping smoking I mean)

My settings are for 1lb per week and I've been allocated 1200 calories. I manage well tthough and don't find I'm hungry - well - not very often!

Hi, Yes it's bread, pasta, rice etc. I'm sure you could find a list of carbs on Google - must be hundreds there! Love your Boxer dogs by the way...:smile:

I have about 10 cups of water a day - I do put a tea bag in each one though! Still counts as water?

I've got just 4 stubborn pounds to go! Have lost 1stone 1lb and got to 9stone with the help of weightwatchers. Just thought I'd try something different, but I reallise that it's all down to intake and output. Battling on.....

I never flip an omlette. Just fold over 1/3 of it once the underneath is cooked and then slide it onto the plate. The centre of an omlette should be deliciouly "squigy"

Brown rice? Is that the one that takes 3 days to cook? Ugh! White basmati for me every time!

I take a Boots multivitamin ( the one for women, called "Complete woman) and a vitamin C tablet 'cos I don't eat much (any) fruit and the body does need vit C on a daily basis.
