  • I'm also curious about this. I have my app set to track steps, but it doesn't track my ride onto campus and around campus. I figure since I'm using the step tracker I should add my bike ride as well.
  • Are we talking "I'm bored and have teh munchies" or "my stomach is giving me hunger pains"? 'Cause my answer is going to be different. For the second, if your body is causing you pain over hunger, EAT SOMETHING. Something small, but just get some food. If it's just munchies, then you can either A) get a small snack, or B)…
  • A cookie here or there is not going to kill you. McDonald's once or twice a month is not a bad thing. Unless it's rat poison cookies your body will just take it in stride. Point: allow yourself to indulge. Either plan it into your calorie intake or allow yourself a day or two every once in a while where you indulge. Just…
  • You are 5'6", 210 lbs, exercising regularly, and you are only taking in 1200 calories? You need to eat more. Without knowing your exact activity level I'd hafta go off of a guess of around 1900 calories for you. Eat more. Ok, so assuming you are "lightly active" your daily calorie needs for maintenance are around 2400.…
  • Maybe a little, but I wouldn't be much. Most of your height is determined by your bones, so that's not going to change. The compression on your joints might force you down slightly, but I wouldn't think it would be much more than half an inch or so.
  • I love food, but in my mind, food is just there to keep me from starving or going silly (I forgot to eat for like three days and I got a bit loopy). I hate cooking so if I can get away with not eating I will. But if I'm GOING to cook, I'm going to cook something I will enjoy eating.
  • If you are doing a lot of exercise it could be that you are putting on muscle weight (as it sounds like you are). You are losing inches but the scale is staying stable, this indicates that indeed this is what is happening.
  • MFP's calorie goals are fairly good. There are also tons of tools all over the web that will tell you how many calories per day you need for maintenance, and you want to be eating about 500 less than that per day. As to the food, there are things I could say. The first is that, well, you want to eat this, they don't, oh…
  • Naked, after I use the restroom, after I shower and dry my hair
  • The Fountainhead (I actually bought a first edition of this, I love it so much) Atlas Shrugged Animal Farm Dracula The collected poems of Robert Frost The Old Man and the Sea Peter Pan Treasure Island Sense and Sensibility
  • Don't. Really, making that decision is incredibly personal and only she can make that choice for herself. If she doesn't really want to then any action of yours won't be to her benefit. If she is happy about her food choices and her weight, then that's her choice. I have to respect people who know that bad eating habits…
  • See, I prefer the same thing. I like strong men. If I have to take charge the rest of the time I want to be able to let him take charge when we're together.
  • Married + ED. No pregnancy at all!
  • This along with: talking to a librarian or a real person to find out information, BOOKS
  • I'm glad I'm not the only WoW player. Got a 85 warrior, resto druid, blood Death Knight, MM Hunter. Got a Mage and paladin in the mid-60's. I've gotten bored with current raiding so I'm trying to level the final tank and healing classes I haven't tried yet.
  • Batman: Arkham City LA Noir Assassin's Creed II (I've already played this, but I want 100% on those feathers, dammit!)
  • Art Alexakis, the lead singer from Everclear. Man is so damn sexy and has a voice that sounds SOOOO awesome. I like men who have voices that SOUND like men, and the first time I heard him sing was in the late '90's in the age of the boy band eunuchs. As I've gotten older I still listen to his stuff, even the new songs and…
  • Here's how I figure it: During the evolution of humans our brain size increased. The only NATURALLY OCCURRING source of food that provides the needed nutrients for the larger brains is meat. Now, nature is not going to design humans to eat food that will be bad for them. So, we can assume that our bodies are designed to…
  • Dead: Ayn Rand. I'm not as big a fan of hers as I used to be, but I still find her later works to be good (although the ending to Atlas Shrugged was TERRIBLE). I think she would be an interesting person to talk with, although we would probably end up fighting over a few things. Alive: Art Alexakis, the lead singer from…
  • Not having sex. Works perfectly! Although it does make me stressed and angry.
  • There are some sugar free jello pudding snacks that have 60calories. Jello pudding things in general have few calories. I also buy Ice cream snacks that are individually packaged. They are usually around 150 calories, so that's easy to budget.
  • It might be a flooring issue. I had my scale tell me I was 90lbs (which would be scary for someone of my build) and I got suspicious. Turns out the flooring was uneven and had some low-density areas. Moving it to a more consistent spot helped.
  • I got the app on my android. Makes it easier if I try to cheat 'cause it has a bar code scanner ;)
  • I'm going to go a different route from most people and NOT recommend the choices I made to you as "the best out there." First, start cutting back on the total number of calories you eat. Track what you eat and try to stay within your calorie goals. After that start playing around with different nutrients. Try a high carb…
  • Depends on the kind of sick. If we're talking upset stomach then VERY clean. Raw veggies, thoroughly washed. Meat from a local butcher cooked over wood and drained of excess fat and grease. If we're talking fever and that rot then whatever is easy to eat and whatever my husband brings me.
  • As to the corn subsidies, that's not capitalism. That's government bowing to the corn and soy industries. If the subsidies on those crops were removed I can guarantee the prices on anything with corn in it would go up. And how many unhealthy foods have corn in them? Sales of these foods would drop. (BTW: if more sales went…
  • Do they not have this in the UK? These things boost sales, and increase revenue. The food industry is a business like any other, and they do that by decreasing per-unit production costs and increased sales which drive down the per-unit production costs. When you are talking about the two industries: the service…
  • Having no money. If you have no money you can't buy extra food and have to buy the best quality food with your money. If you have $5 you can either A) buy a slim jim and some sodas that last two hours or B) buy two pounds of beef and some potatoes that can last you two days. </joke> More seriously, by sticking to a budget…
  • Well, the only real tips I can give are to find clothes that fit and aren't overly tight so they show unsightly bulges or muffin tops. But also to avoid baggy clothing that makes you look like you are wearing oceans of cloth. Find pants that mold to you, and shirts that fit without constricting you. As to STAYING and…
