2 pans of brownie bites topped with peanut butter and chocolate chips. I made them for the super bowl tomorrow. I had 2 while they were still warm. Craving satisfied...now I can happily ignore the rest of them. (And like Kim, I had a great 15+ mile run this morning and fully enjoyed those 2 brownie bites. Mmm.....I have…

Fastest 5k: 25:52 Fastest 10K 56:xx (been a couple of years since I've run a 10k) Fastest 13.1: 1:54:32 Fastest 26.2: 4:52 - I've only run one and it was the Walt Disney World - close to 25 minutes of photo ops in that time. HAHA Running my 2nd in April, hoping to run about a 4:15.

A mud run is about the fun, not running fast. So don't even sweat it. Run a few times to get used to the motion and breathing, since you never do it. Enjoy it!!

I usually run our local 5k/10k on Thanksgiving Day. But I ran a 1/2 two weeks ago, another 1/2 yesterday. I've been sick for 3 weeks and can't get better. I'm giving my body a break. No way would I go and run the 5k or 10k w/o trying to set a new PR. My body hates me right now, so I'm ending my fall racing season with…

Then I'd thank him for his interest and tell him that I am very happily married. ;) LOL

The ability to "get a lot of girls" is not something I consider to be an attractive quality. I notice if a man is fit and has a nice body. Because I appreciate the work and discipline that goes into it.

My own. It might not be perfect, it is mine. It birthed a 8.5 and 9.75 lb babies and runs marathons. The women with "perfect" bodies don't like their bodies, either!

Exactly!!!

I've been very, very happy with my Fleet Feet! They did a gait analysis on me using their treadmill and I've been very, very happy with the shoes they recommended - I'm on my 4th pair of the same shoes. Something to consider - they won't always have the best prices, so you can always write down the shoe name and then order…

Ran a half marathon last year with a terrible head cold...still PR'ed. Sick as a dog right now and running another 1/2 on Saturday - hoping to PR again. Rest and fluids and you'll be fine.

I replace every 4-5 months, depending on my mileage.

My husband says he cannot feel the strings at all.

I have a Mirena IUD and it is the best thing I could have ever done. I don't have to think about my birth control (except once every 5 years), it doesn't cause me to have any side effects, I had it put in 6 weeks after giving birth to a 10 lb baby, so it was very easy for my doctor to insert and my periods are practically…

Thank you!! :)

That's what I do. Just trying to figure out what the other 400 or so people logging insanity workouts were typing in for their workout. :)
-
That's a good way to put it. I certainly don't enjoy my 60 minutes on the AMT machine at the gym - but it produces an 800 calorie burn. :D
-
Yes, I get that. When I click "cardiovascular" it says "search our exercise database by name" - I enter "Insanity" and it says "no exercises found". So where are they? If Wii Golf is in the database, why isn't Insanity?
-
Surprised that people like running? I was too, before I started!
-
I understand that, I use a heart rate monitor, too. I just don't find the workouts in the database. When I enter "running" about 15 choices come up. I enter "Instanity" and it comes back with no workouts by that name.
-
I run because that IS what I enjoy doing, so why should I do something else? Distance running is my hobby, not just a way to burn calories.

Til I Collapse by Eminem.

I certainly don't have a problem with that. LOL

I'm a fan of the Smart Coach tool on Runnersworld.com - I think the key between now and your 1/2 is to run 10 miles a few times, an 11 mile and one or two 12 milers. I got injured about 5 weeks out from my first 1/2 after my first 11 mile training run. It was my last long run before the 1/2 - and honestly, I was still FINE…

I'd still take a couple of advils before the race to take care of the cramps. I took Advil for all of my longest training runs and before the marathon, too. They were actually giving out tylenol during the Disney marathon. It it's a well run race, there should be portapotties every 4-5 miles on the course. Do you have a…

After my last half marathon the next day was my first day of marathon training. I did take one day off and ran an easy pace on my first run afterwards. I'm running my first full in January - I plan to not run a step for 2 weeks afterwards.
-
I started running a year and a half ago - 4 half marathons under my belt, with my 5th coming up in a few weeks. I'm currently training for my first full marathon - at Walt Disney World. After Disney, I want to start training for my first tri and do more trail running.

If your only concern is the caffeine withdrawal, just take excedrin or advil for a few days. I gave up caffeine once (before kids) and I took Motrin every morning to get ahead of the headache. It lasted about 5 days and then I was caffeine free.

It would be worth whatever inconvenience to still go to a running store and be fitted. The wrong shoes will injure you and only a professional can make a determination on what shoe you need.

The black/paisley dress is GORGEOUS! Where did you get it?

You look amazing!!! Congrats!!
