  • Hehe - you use the img code, but you have to change the 'img' at either end into lower case - why? I have no idea but there you go!!
  • There you go! You look awesome!!
  • High school teacher here! I'm sending a friend request too. :flowerforyou:
  • A mid sized microwave oven.
  • I did 103 traveling burpees today, they are easier than the traditional ones - I don't think I could have done them all if they weren't the traveling variety.
  • I've never made it with milk, I guess because my Mum doesn't make it with milk?!? I put a little bit of cold milk on the hot porridge and slice on a banana. I also put a little bit of cinnamon in when I cook the porridge.
  • Weird, how does it know?!? My 'Happy Weight' is exactly the same as my goal weight!!
  • Yes. If you do, make all your friends enter too (my friends all beat me anyway) and then there is a cheering squad for when you cross the finish line.
  • Hi there, we are the same height and by my calculations your bmi is 17.3, they recommend that your bmi goes no lower than 18.5 so you are underweight!! It sounds (from what you said in your post) that toning is more what you want than weight loss, so I think you should set your goals to maintenance and then make sure to…
  • You should also be aware that being very thirsty all the time is a symptom of type 2 diabetes. If you are really voraciously thirsty it might be time for a check up.
  • I am now at my pre-baby #1 weight. After my first I didn't get back down to my pre-baby weight but after my second I did! I breastfed both times and put on a lot of weight both times (baby girl #1 was 10lbs 3oz and baby girl #2 was 10lbs 4oz so a fair bit was baby). I think it is just knowledge and a willingness to try…
  • 33 - 5'9", 162lbs and 25.8% (according to my scales - don't know how they know!!)
  • You can then eat the calories you burn on top of the calories given. In theory if you are more active then you have more muscle mass, which means you burn more calories just by living than a sedentary person. So make sure to eat the calories you earn on the days you exercise. Another way you could do it is to set your…
  • I have tried, but I go crazy and then it takes a while for me to get back to 'myself' again. In saying that if I really want something I'll work it into my calories or do some exercise to compensate, plus I often have dessert on a Monday as it is weigh in day and if I go over I don't worry about it - but I can't do a whole…
  • I did it in February and I lost a lot of inches but not that many lbs, the first 3 days or so of each level make you really sore, but after that it isn't so bad. Level 2 gave me my best results (I was looking for change in my waist line) and I found level 3 easier than level 2. In saying that, level 2 was my favourite. If…
  • I am the spouse who used to go to watch then said stuff it and now I enter too! We don't run together (I describe it as like running with a dog off the leach, he comes back to check in occasionally then zooms off again) but run in the same race at the same time!
  • Do circuits of squats, push ups, star jumps, step ups, burpees, crunches, planks (with all the variations - side, toe taps, etc), tricep dips, etc etc. I've toned up HEAPS but also can't afford to go to a gym. It probably isn't as effective as lifting heavy, but it works pretty well for us poor folks.
  • In terms of the candy and crisps (or lollies and chips as we call them here) we never had them in the house as a child except for birthday parties. We would get lolly day once a week (on shopping day) and would have a chocolate bar or something. We all looked forward to it and I think enjoyed it more!
  • I do workout DVDs (mainly Jillian Michaels) and have become addicted to Tabata and bootcamp type training as well. Also get a skipping rope it is crazy how many calories you burn jumping rope. Another thing I do is planks during ad breaks when I watch t.v. I do regular, side, toe taps and twists to make it less boring.
  • 33 Female 5'9" or 175cm 161lbs or 73.6kg Size 12 NZ which I think is about an 8 in US sizing???
  • I hardly ever get sore anymore and I kind of miss it!! When I did the 30 day Shred I was sore for the first 3 or so days of each level and then I wasn't sore anymore. Now I am sore immediately after working out but by the next day I am fine again. It is weird I don't even get sore after running!!
  • I've been trying to up my protein lately and I have smoothies with protein powder. Mainly I just make my usual breakfast and stick it in the blender with the protein powder (skim milk, rolled oats, linseeds, banana and protein powder - I freeze the banana and it makes it really nice!).
  • Unless you are in New Zealand then keep on the left!!!
  • Hi - I'm in Auckland 16kg down 4 to go:bigsmile:
  • Jump squats, lunges and general weight loss has helped me, but even when I weighed 62kg (135ish lbs) at 175cm my thighs still touched :ohwell: Ah well, it isn't such a problem since I started running in tights, but you'll never catch me walking a long way in wet swimming togs as the chafing is miserable!
  • I just did it when I could fit it in during the day - I liked it best doing it first thing, but if I didn't do it then, I'd do it last thing!! The best time is the time when you don't want to do it but do it anyway.
  • If you are not used to working out you can hold onto water when you start. When I did the shred I only lost 5.9lbs in the 33 days that it took me to do it, so it doesn't necessarily make you lose a lot of weight, but I lost a lot of inches and people said I looked like I had lost at least 10lbs! Also scales are notoriously…
  • Yes!! We do this at my bootcamp and it is awesome!!
