Hello all, so glad to see this group on here! I've been diagnosed with UC since 2007, but I'm positive that I've had it a lot longer. I just never had a doctor willing to take the time to investigate my complaints. I'm on Apriso 4 pills a day and Canasa suppositories 4 times a week. I have been in the ER already 3 times…

I haven't tried it, but I saw it at the store. ....Monistat makes an anti chaffing gel you rub on and it's supposed to help prevent chaffing. You can buy it at walgreen's or CVS.

Thanks for the heads up, and what a great attittude to have for a future nsv.

Thank you all very much. Yes my husbands boss is amazingly generous to all of his employees and their families. I think after reading these Universal may be our destination. My daughter is definitely mature for her age, I swear she is 12 going on 30 sometimes. Plus she loves Harry Potter. I just hear so many amazing things…

Yup I would say potassium also. Not everyone can eat raw potatoes, but they have a ton of potassium too. Orange juice, sweet potatoes and yogurt all have more potassium than a banana as well.

So sorry to hear this it's a hard one to cope with. I have ulcerative colitis. It is a hard one to get under control and it has no reason why you have flare ups. My GI has told me every person is different for what foods affect them. It is a disease associated with an over active immune system though and not food based.…

What about fruit pizza? I love the stuff. One piece is about 170 calories and 9 grms fat. Here's a link for a great recipe. http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Makeover-Fruit-Pizza

I think some of it is genetics. There is a girl in my boot camp class that gets "dewy", I on the other hand look like I just walked into a shower with my clothes on. I am the one that has to carry a towel with me through class to keep wiping the sweat off face that is literally dripping everywhere. I am constantly cleaning…

This is what my trainer told me too, focus on leaning back on your heels instead of your toes. It does help once it's started to wiggle your toes, which is hard when your moving, but it helps.

I get them too!! I have found nothing that helps, only showering as soon as I get home. I thought it might be my laundry detergent irritating my skin but I get them on my calves when I'm wearing shorts and the bend in my elbow when I'm wearing T-shirts so I don't think it's my detergent. I also have ulcerative colitis and…

Oh I am so sorry for your loss. I will lift you and your family up in prayer. May you feel God's presence, love and strength during this incredibly hard time.

Before we moved out here to the boonies I worked with an organization that sent in aides to elderly peoples homes to help them stay at home longer. I loved it! I had a couple clients that slowly narrowed down to one elderly lady that had alzheimers. I loved her and her family. I basically sat and visited with her while the…

I have a Polar FT7 and love it. I like the adjustable chest strap is very comfy I forget it's there most of the time. I like that it reminds me once a week to check weight and hit certain goals such as time worked out and getting my heart rate up into the zones. I love the nice pink color of the watch. I have to admit…

Peeing in the dark. I just can't do it, if the electricity happens to go out I'll hold it, if we're camping I'll wait until morning. I hate with a passion June Beetles, I literally smashed one with a rather large landscaping boulder and it tried to come after me while hissing......I'm shuddering right now even thinking…

I had it explained to me that it has a lot to do with your genetics and losing weight. So under your skin the tissue is kind of like a pair of nylons and as you gain weight those nylons get stretched into something similar to fishnet stockings and little bits of fatty tissue pokes through. I apologize if I am throwing out…

Oh how I bet that feels so good! That means people are noticing and we all know it's by no means dangerously fast. Great work and keep it up you are doing so great.

I was on it for several months. I loved it the first week or so, felt like I could rule the world and go go go like the energizer bunny. Then the insomnia hit along with the overwhelming hunger and retaining water and horrible joint aches. However the great news is as soon as I got off it, the effects wore off really quick…

I like it! We do these in class, I'll start counting them :)

I totally understand the shock and how it makes you feel. I had to have a total hysterectomy 11 years ago (I am 35 now). It was like whammo over night. It is not the end though, these have been some really great years especially not dealing with TOM and planning trips with what to wear, what supplies are needed. You may…

My sister talked me into trying Eharmony 3 years after a nasty divorce, I reluctantly tried it with no high hopes, just to get my sister off my back. I chatted with one guy on line only. Then I went through the whole process and went on a date with a 2nd guy. That was August 2004. We were engaged by November of 2004 and…

I use it and I love it. I use the sleepytime extra with vanilla. Just an fyi, if you do any blood tests valerian root, which is the main relaxing ingredient, can raise your AST (liver) levels. It doesn't do any damage but just tell your doctor so they don't think you are having early liver disease problems.

ROFL definitely report back to us as well! I think you should put down your burger on the heavier free weights while you lift a 2lb hand weight and then sit and try to catch your breath in between each "set".

What about fish? There's lots of great fish recipes out there, will he eat fish?

I know you said you are getting sick of bbq'ing chicken, but what about cooking a whole chicken in the crock pot. It literally falls off the bones. Then you could have in tacos, enchiladas, burritos or he could just have it by itself. Another one is meatballs, another one you can cook in the crock pot. They could be all…

Tell him "you better hope I reach my goal, because you aren't getting any loving until I do"!

My crockpot is 7 years old. I put in a whole chicken and it cooks in about 5 hours (not frozen). It literally falls off the bones at that point.
