  • definitively bumping to save !
  • Some healthy sandwiches, cut in smaller triangles. You can use wheat bread, add tomato, lettuce, low fat low sodium ham, etc
  • ^^^ This Anything that targets the "fat belly" is suspect to me. I have not see any proof that you can specifically target losing fat at an area, via exercise or food.
  • Looking at your typical menu, you could easily balance your proteins: Reduce the quantity of chicken, which is by far the highest protein in your list Add fruit (for Carbs) Add nuts (walnuts or almonds) for fat
  • A high protein snack that tastes good, has no preservatives or artificial ingredients: http://www.clifbar.com/food/products_builders/
  • Most of us will have days when we go well above our cal limit. Don't worry about compensating by eating less next days. Just get back to the correct calorie limit. One day above your cals is not going to increase your weight that much (remember, one pound of fat is 3500 calories !!)
  • Hint: You have only logged the last 3 days !! And before that, the last time you logged food was for 9 days, at end of Jan and start of February. You have to log consistently for at least 2 weeks, to see results, or at least tell if there is something you should change.
  • ^^^ This The key is to give the guy a clear sign that you are interested, and he will take it from there.
  • It is normal and will continue for at least the time you are dieting to reduce weight. That process is what actually helps us to reduce weight, we now KNOW what makes us fat !! Now, having said that, what I do when I crave a high calorie food is to have a SMALL piece of it; normally this removes the craving and I keep with…
  • To find the answer, here is a recent thread on the same subject: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/561583-why-replace-excercised-calories The thread also has a bunch of links to previous discussions.
  • My advice is to not stress your foot, don't do exercise until completely recovered. You will be fine by lowering your calories (I don't exercise (plan to), and have been able to lose more than 47 lbs !)
  • I am not sure to when you refer to have logged for over a month, because I don't see that in your diary. MFP gives us a way to clearly control our food intake; after logging food almost every day since Nov 2011, I can now estimate calories in food, but I am sure I would be over my daily calorie limit if I stopped logging…
  • I think that we can find the actual TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure), after a couple of months of consistent weight loss. For example: In my case, I had set MFP to lose 1 lb/week (sedentary, since I hardly have been exercising) Following the calorie limit that MFP came up with to lose 1lb, I have actually been losing…
  • ^^^ This Your sister has lots of insecurities, and is trying to use you to feel better. Don't mind her at all, continue your weight loss and exercise because it is good for YOU. Your progress is very good, and 12 minutes per mile (5 miles per hour) is excellent !! I bet by the time you reach your goal, you will look and…
  • I checked your Food Diary, and it seems you have not logged ANY food at all for many days. I mean, if I read your Diary correctly, since 2010 you have only logged food for 53 days !! I have found that many times, the reason for not losing weight is not logging your food in MFP. Just estimating calories is a very easy…
  • Like many other good ideas, this one will probably not prosper due to Legal implications. The moment that MFP starts giving specific guidelines/advice, they are exposed to lawsuits. Sad, but true.
  • bump, good links here !
  • I am 6' 1" and started at 249 lbs in Nov 2011, now 158 days after I am at 201 lbs. Target is at 187, but may go for 183 depending on how I look at 187 :-) Strength training now BTW, as other posters noted, women are also great motivators at MFP. Have many of them as friends. If you need to find members close to your age,…

  • the always MFP presence of: lose - loose
  • What about buying it with CraigList, Ebay, etc? You can probably buy the chest strap separate, from the manufacturer, if you don't want to wear a used one.
  • Would be great if you share your Food Diary. Something doesn't add up. Here is why: a) You were on a "high fat hi carb diet", and now are on "lots of fresh fruits, veggies and lean meats" The fruits are high in carbs, so if you eat a lot of them you will be also high in carbs. If that is the case, then what you did is…
  • My take is that weight is not lost evenly, and there are differences between men and women. I am pretty sure that for men, the last part to reduce in fat is the belly. At least that is my case. For women, I am guessing the hips and thighs. I see that you still want to lose 11 lbs more. Keep with the program; once you reach…

  • Women are awesome, because they truly complement us as human beings. Sometimes we say we don't understand them (and for me that is the case even after 24 years of marriage!) but we don't need to completely understand them. They are wonderful as they are ! Sex and yes boobs, etc is nice, but when older what matters to men…
  • I completely get your line of thinking there. I started by counting fruit by piece, but now that I can weigh with a scale, I have switched to all measured. My suggestion is to weigh fruit without skin, as it is unlikely the nutrition infomation will ever include the peel. And try to use generic; I was in the past for…
  • I think this is a good example: They even outlined the Pear shape !!
  • some ideas on clothing: http://www.lovingyou.com/articles/836191/how-to-dress-a-pear-shaped-body I tell you, many men love that shape !! some celebrities with pear-shaped body:
  • Don't feel bad about a small waist and large hips, with small bust ! Many men like that ! And I know of one small waist, large hips singer that you can't deny looks good !
