  • Good luck to you, however you decide to do it. For me it changes on a routine basis, but yes, the calories are the key. It is not easy. And I understand your need to do something quick. Doesn't mean it is rational or even right, but it's human nature. Hope you get the support you need here and at home. :D
  • I'll admit, I just started it -- on Day #3. I've done it once before (don't think I got past week #2) and did lose some weight. How are you doing so far? I've lost 2 lbs--- I think. lol
  • There is a Group on here called the No Junk Food Challenge. Its 21 days to basically stop yourself from craving junk -- or foods that are without any real nourishment. (At least that's the way I interpret it). Maybe that is what he intended for you because this is not low carb. Search for that group and maybe that would be…
  • I've done WW in the past and while it is a good program, its just easier to find calorie info with the new laws coming into place. You can usually find calorie info, but not fiber content, etc. I got frustrated with the new system too. And of course the Free part! :)
  • Focus on the good part of that story. You've done it before. That means you can do it again!!! Good luck.
  • The office brought in lunch today, so it was Jimmy John's. But I was good...I got an Unwich 385 cals. #13 The Beach
  • The more I read here, I think I'll save my money and time. All I had to hear was "Twilight"....ugh!
  • I haven't read this yet, I'm debating. I just sounds over hyped, I'm kind of cynical. Funny, I've never heard anyone say anything about a great plot. LOL Maybe there's your answer.
  • I get the first two...but sleepiness??? LOL The things these researchers waste money on....
  • This feedback is really helpful. So many times I've gone "over" to around 1,500 and I feel like such a failure that day. 1,200 is easy on some days when I do something big for exercise, but a struggle on other days. This makes me feel like I'm on track if I stay close to it. Thank you!
  • Hi there. I've been on and off of this site for at least a year now. I'm starting over -- hopefully one last time. And I would LOVE to lose at least 50 lbs before my company meeting this November in Cancun. Let's do it together!! :)
  • Can't fix stupid either! Don't let him hurt you. (I know it did sting.) So sorry.... Consider it motivation to prove him wrong.
  • Thanks for the replies. Maybe I'll try a modified version of this -- really just training my palate and my will power to reach for those fresh fruits and veggies instead of starches for snacks or even sides to meals. I think if I can substitute what I am craving now for fruit and veggies that will be a good cleanse for my…
  • Exercising in the morning seems to be the only way that works for me. At night after work, dinner, laundry, playing chauffer for the kids.....it just doesn't happen. So, I set the alarm for 5:15 and after hitting the snooze button a couple times, I get up to do 30 mins on my stationary bike. I know it isn't a die hard work…
  • I was making smoothies, but realized I needed to EAT aka CHEW something. Drinking breakfast was not making me free like I had breakfast....a mind thing, I'm sure. So instead, I've started cutting up a medium banana, spooning over some light, fat free yogurt and then a sprinkling of sliced almonds. I even mixed in some Flax…
  • Excellent news! So what you are saying is don't give up, right? I hear ya! Today is a new day! Thank you.
  • I don't have the recipe with me, but if you go to Cook YourSelf Thin's website, they have a great recipe there. I've made it and not only did I like it, my teenagers did too! Good luck!
  • You look great! Must feel so good to put on those summer clothes a couple sizes smaller. Nice!

  • Saying NO to the diet sabotagers at work . Someone is always running out for fast food at lunch and trying to tempt me "You're not really gonna eat that salad/soup/Lean Cuisine, are you.??!". Yes, it was a weak arm to twist....but not anymore. It's a little change, but they all add up right?
  • Well, my baby is 15 and I am still trying to lose the weight...if that makes you feel better! lol And my live in boyfriend who is 6'3" compared to me at 5'4" can handle eating several times a day. Not easy to count calories around someone like that! And yes, he starts running and drops 5 lbs asap. So, I completely…
  • Thanks everyone! It is definitely motivating to know that I am not alone and others are doing it! Let's keep at it!
