  • My guess is that you need to eat more, not less. Anytime I add to my exercise routine I have to up my calories. I really like the Olivia method of setting your goals. There is a group with great information about it. Calories are not bad. Calories are necessary for building muscle which will in turn help your metabolism.
  • I was wondering the same thing. I track my runs on my iPhone, and thought a HRM that works with it would be great. Now I'm not sure. I haven't seen anyone else using one.
  • Our Christmas break was way longer than I planned. We planned on painting the living room the week of Thanksgiving so we took a break. Unfortunately, that break is still going on. We added trim, painted, and decorated the living room and then started on the fence because the weather was so great (60's-70's during the day).…
  • I have decided to ignore the painting that needs to be finished in the living room and just snuggle with the kids and watch Christmas movies. It has been a long, hectic week and today was particularly busy. I am looking forward to recharging for next week.
  • Incredible! I also have given birth 6 times and am praying that I can look as good as you do one day.
  • Great job!
  • Welcome! This is a great site for finding support and motivation. There are several great challenges available that really keep me focused. Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • I added a mile waking at the end of my 5k run.
  • We have been repainting the living room and dining room since Thanksgiving. Definitely something we had been putting off.
  • I made it to bed 15 minutes earlier last night. Today I have had several naps since I was in bed with my daughter that had her tonsils removed today. Wow! Sleep really makes me feel better.
  • Mission accomplished. I changed our dinner menu to spaghetti and had spaghetti squash instead. It was wonderful!
  • One of the great things about eating gluten, cassein and soy free is that fast food is not an option most of the time. This one will be easy for me.
  • I switched from SparkPeople also. I agree that they are too large now. I am working on losing about 30 pounds from my last child. Feel free to add me as a friend if you would like.
  • Hi! I'm Jennifer, a 41 year-old mom of six great kids ages 17, 8, 7, 5, 3 and 1. I have been married 20 years to an awesome husband. My weight has been up and down so much in the past 8 years with 5 pregnancies, that I don't think my body knows what to do any more. I lost all of the baby weight with my 1st, 2nd and 5th…
  • I am!
  • I weigh almost daily, but I only take other measurements once a week. I just can't stand waiting a whole week to know how I am doing.
  • I don't have my kids do any formal exercise right now. We ride bikes as a family any time we can instead of taking the van, but other than that, they are so active when they play, I really hadn't thought of doing anything else. What do you see the goal of exercise for kids to be? Is it just to get them active and keep them…
  • Hi! I'm Jennifer, a 41 year-old mom of 6 great kids ages 17, 8, 7, 5, and 1. We have been homeschooling for 10 years and love it. My oldest takes 2 dual credit classes at the community college and does some subjects for me. The others are doing a mixture of Sonlight, Abeka Math, 100 Easy Lessons, and whatever else looks…

  • I didn't have time to experiment in the kitchen yesterday, but I can definitely participate today. I think that the diet sodawas I was drinking was preventing me from losing weight. I haven't had any this week, and I can see a difference on the scale and in how I look. I hadn't been losing anything before and I haven't…
  • Sometimes going over isn't a bad thing. When I have been at plateaus before, I had to start varying the number of calories each day to start losing again. Some days were over, some were under, but my calories for the week were correct. It really jump started my progress again. I have decided that when I mess up, I am just…
  • My name is Jennifer. My family, with the exception of my dh and oldest son, are all gluten, casein & soy free. I found that all of my kids, including my teenager who is sure he knows best, react in varying ways. Once eliminating problem foods from our diets, we have no more problems with eczema, potty training, digestive…
  • I would love to join to. I have to get serious about losing this baby weight now. She is almost a year old already.
