I'm a runner and have developed "Runner's Knee" I bought a $10 knee strap at my pharmacy and I wear it religiously now and NO more pain! If I forget to wear it, I'll instantly start feeling discomfort. I'd recommend trying it out. If it doesn't work, you're only out $10. Good luck!

My suggestion would be to invest in a Garmin (or other brand) watch. I'm training for my fourth marathon and this is the first year I have used a watch during training season. I cannot believe I ever trained withoout one now! It will make all the difference in learning your pace and heart rate. I now know my marathon pace…

It can be a learned love. Finding a running group and the right mix on your ipod may help. Start off slow so it doesn't frustrate you. The Runner's High is quiet enjoyable once you figure out your groove. Try walking/running in a local 5k...that might help kick off the rush of the sport!! Best of luck to you!!

I did it last Oct along with my 11 year old and 13 year old. You got this. From your post you are doing exactly what needs to be done. WD is cake walk compared to other mud runs. Have fun!!
