To be fair, most of the 'one serving' measurements are from recipe I've manually input using more specific ingredients.

Thanks. You're right, of course. I've just been in a rut where the excuses are easier because I can just frame it as "work is more important because I need $" And I am actually doing OK so far as calories in vs out. TDEE and such at a deficit of 25-30%. For the most part, I come in under or at my daily max, and the days I…

Yeah, I used to be much better about it too. Congrats on your loss, that's wonderful!
-
Sadly, I can't afford that. I'm on a plan where I am incrementally increasing weights every 2-4 weeks. And I don't have the space.
-
this is so accurate. the first time i went o use the freeweights, i was so intimidated that i panicked, went home and sobbed in the shower. now i love getting in there and doing my thing (I still have my 'i can't do this' days, but i'm not gym-timidated anymore)

OMG me too! Like, legit downloaded the app yesterday and was gonna start tomorrow. Wanna do it together? Also, you look amazing. congrats on your success so far!
-
wow! amazing! congrats on all your success

Congratulations!!! I just hit the 180s myself, so I know how amazing you must feel. You look fantastic and you sound happy in your post. I'm doing the same as you (but 45-60 min/3x a week). ellipticals are amazing machines, and strength training is so essential. seriously, congrats!

BAMF.

Thanks so much! I know it's not a massive transformation yet, but I think it's important to celebrate the small victories too. I took this pic yesterday. When I bought these jeans I was at 217 and could barely squeeze into them or move once they were on. Now they're falling off!

Usually 25-30 minutes of mid intensity cardio and 45-60 of strength. I meet with a trainer for 1/2 hour every other month to learn new moves for what I want to target and mix them in to my routine
-
fantastic!!! you already look younger, healthier and most importantly, happier. keep it up!!
-
You look fantastic!! I am totally in the same boat. bough a couple crop tops, but haven't been courageous enough to wear them yet. my belly is still a bit too big (and rolls @ my belly button) to bare it all. regardless, so happy for you!!

I'm swimsuit shopping (online) for a vacation in a few weeks, and virtually every time i compare my measurements to the size charts i'm a large! haven't been anything but an XL in 8 years. can't wait to order one and try it on!!!
-
This is the best response I've seen on MFP ever.
-
fantastic!!! hitting that benchmark is such an amazing feeling. I'm trying to reach the 180s before august...hit my onederland 2 months ago. you can do it!!!

Thanks to everyone for your input. as an update, I went last night, an hour later than the previous visit. it was a lot less crowded, and i felt completely comfortable doing my thing. even 'worked in sets' with a dude using the same machine thang! I did it! i felt amazing and practically danced the whole walk home! still…

i learned early on i was never very good at lying, and it made me feel really uncomfortable when i tried, so i gave up.

my bf. lol, sorry, but it's true.
-
when in doubt, err on the side of overestimating. that's what i do. that way, if you're right, you're fine in terms of calorie counting. if you're wrong, then you had fewer calories than you thought!
-
That's amazing!! Honestly, even seeing 200 is such a good feeling. enjoy it :D
-
so happy everyone is parading ! we are all kicking *kitten* :D

my bf and i get kind bars and popchips (100 calorie bags!), bottled water, and organic soda (for him). just got the first delivery yesterday. it's awesome

pounds and inches are different. My last waist measurement was dec 2013. a year and a half later, i've lost about 20 lbs, and actually gained an inch in my waist. you're still doing great! changes happen in different places at different times!
-
thanks, you too! you're amaaaazing!!!!

muscle is denser than fat, so you can expect to gain some weight as you're losing fat lbs., but it's muscle. which burns a LOT more calories than fat. i don't know your exact stats, but if you're working out, you may be eating too few calories. look through some of the posts about TDEE and consider eating at 20-25% below…
