I work for a big company who make a lot of money. We get no bonus, no perks and we have to pay for our own Christmas party. So no... no holiday cheer from our employers lol!! I'm thankful to have a job in this climate though

Ocarina of time for sure :) Also love Mario Kart and the Final Fantasy games. Love the oldies :)

I suffer from depression and anxiety as a result of extremely low self esteem and low self worth. I will add you as a friend - it's nice to know/talk to people in similar situations :)

Holy moly, I hope someone has a cure for this because I totally do this too. I can be so good all day and then late at night I'll ruin it all by comforting myself with food!! What are we like!?

Yeah you're right not to like Shane - don't think anyone is supposed to like Shane really. He was killed off very early on in the comic but he made for interesting TV
-
Whoa... I love that idea
-
I have. I was just reading this thread thinking "has no one read the comics?" and then you came along my dear - thank god! Good few things have been different so far to the comics though... the show is following the same linear progression but good god it took them ages to kill off Shane!!
-
Is anyone else dying to know what this is now lol?!

I'm told I look like the sweet and innocent type... but eh... I can be fairly bold ;)

If I wasn't a software developer, I'd probably like Apple products

I think running on your toes is for fast running/sprinting - are you running or jogging? Don't try to hit the ground heel first - can get a lot of injuries from this. Try to hit with the middle of your foot... if you concentrate on doing it like that for a while you should just get used to it and it'll come naturally :)

Excellent, I'm in! Have gained some holiday weight last week and need to get it off again pronto! ~~3 Month Christmas Challenge~~ Start weight - 154.5lbs Goal weight - 142lbs 08/10/2012 - 22/10/2012 - 05/11/2012 - 19/11/2012 - 03/12/2012 - 17/12/2012 - 24/12/2012 -

Ah now to be fair there is some truth to this. It's not necessarily that the person is "big" boned but what they mean is that their skeletal frame is wider. Like my sister would have a very small and petite frame. No matter how much weight I lose, I could NEVER look like her because my frame is bigger - I have broader…
-
Yes 2 or 3lbs usually. If you didn't do anything to deserve your gain then it is most definitely because it's your totm so don't worry too much about it because you'll be back down again next week
-
I agree with axenosher, it's probably just the toxins leaving your body - it'll level out soon and your skin will clear up and be much better (imo).

Yup that's what a flan is here in Ireland too. That "flan" is creme caramel. And I love creme caramel

W-o-w! What is everyone's problem on this site lately? Chill the heck out. I think I get what you were _trying_ to say actually? That you are 23 and you're old enough to have children/be married (and the proof is right there on your FB news feed because some of your friends are in that situation) but that you don't FEEL…

Height: 5'6 Weight: 149lb Age: 25 BMR: 1,440 I tend to eat between 1700 and 1900. I don't believe anyone should eat below their BMR. I think TDEE-15% (or 20%) is a more realistic option.
-
Soudns good. If you're doing your long run I would suggest you eat something carby a couple hours beforehand to fuel your body up a bit - it's those darn long runs that take their toll on our bodies. That article about TDEE & BMR is very informative - I should've mentioned before that I eat my TDEE - 15% x

LOL... This thread is just cruel for us singletons

Training for a half marathon then you probs need to eat more... Are you logging the cals you're burning from your training? If so, are you eating any of them back? Do you eat anything differently on your long run training day? Like, are you having something to eat an hour or 2 before you head out? Are you drinking plenty…

Understand how you feel. After losing nearly 50lbs I mentioned it to a colleague at work and he said "you don't look any different to me?" and it really got me down. BUT... keep going - don't let these comments get to you, people don't realise the strength behind their words! I'm sure after losing a stone you just look…

Asics work for most people but I would go to a store and have them fit them for you. I ran on a treadmill and had insoles moulded to my feet and I have a lost less problems with shin splints & pains in general now.

The old Irish: "Jeeeeaaaaaysus!" and also "Holy guacamole" and "Anyhootieandtheblowfish" instead of "anyhow" lol
