hit a wall

hi everyone,

i started my diet about 3 1/2 months ago and everything was going great i lost 22 lbs in 3 months... since i have started training for a half marathon and my weight loss has practically stopped... i am eating the same as before, slim fast for breakfast, sandwich for lunch and then a 600 calorie meal for dinner... and thought the extra cardio would help but its kind of stalled the weight loss.

any ideas why?

That doesn't sound like a lot of food for someone training for a marathon! Wait a couple of minutes and someone will come along and explain why you need to eat more.

When your weight goes down, so does your calorie needs. The amount of calories you need to eat to lose goes down as well. Google calorie needs calculator and you can get an idea of where you should be.

x that, don't tell her to starve herself now that she's training...

EDIT- Generally a true statement but does not fit in the context of "training stalled weight loss"

Training for a half marathon then you probs need to eat more... Are you logging the cals you're burning from your training? If so, are you eating any of them back?
Do you eat anything differently on your long run training day? Like, are you having something to eat an hour or 2 before you head out? Are you drinking plenty of water? There are a lot of factors involved so it can be hard to determine...

Soudns good. If you're doing your long run I would suggest you eat something carby a couple hours beforehand to fuel your body up a bit - it's those darn long runs that take their toll on our bodies.
That article about TDEE & BMR is very informative - I should've mentioned before that I eat my TDEE - 15% x
