I had swelling on my lower lip the other day after having a fruit smoothie which I've never had before. However it went away after about 15 mins so I thought very little of it. If it happens a lot I would probably see a doctor about it but if it was a one time thing I wouldn't worry too much

are you on a low carb diet? If you are it could be metabolic degydration as your body will be using its own stores of carbohydrates which are stored with water

you could replace the sugar with dried apple pieces, so you'll get the extra sweetness without as many calories. Or you could replace with honey as you'd only need a small amount (if this makes the mixture too wet just add a bit more flour). Low fat buttermilk.

This sounds just like me! I've cut down to just weekends at the moment but really want to stop all together at least for two weeks to prove to myself that I can go without. So glad I found this group as in the past when i've slipped up I just thought "well no one will know....."

I actually have the same problem most days. I now usually snack on oat cakes with avocado as that really boosts the calories but is still healthy and fully of good fats, or nuts for the same reason. Do you like oily fish? Having some trout or tuna instead of red meat will help.
