Monbot, my whole family suffer from gut and bowel related issues and the eldest daughter has been on the fodmap diet for well over a year now and her body has adjusted accordingly. She lost the couple of kilos she had wanted to. She heals faster and her iron levels have stabalized. (They were horridly low) She eats no…

I'm so glad that we have adopted Claude as our mascot! Helen you should try to take a pic of him/her so we all can see. :) I've always marvelled at the bravery of people who go on the biggest loser, I recall watching it years ago while fat and thinking out loud to my husband there is no way I could do that! I'm flat out…

I love the name Claude for the cat! I was really sick this morning, I feel much better now so it may have been something I ate yesterday. Don't know but I missed my aqua class today, so I'm not off to a very good start at all!

It's obvious to me that he/she is your challenge, what about his/her name do that name your nemesis and take it from there .
-
Haha you go make friends with the cat! Eat your salad, walk your miles and climb your stairs, then tell the cat about it!

Here and accounted for, time for me to pull in the reins and be accountable again after regaining 6 kilo. Move lots more, join a netball team or roller blade, your choice just move more and then eat fresh vegetables + buy raw chicken , steak, veal, lamb, pork, fish, prawns , crabs. Cook it yourself, use a minimum amount of oil, preferably spray to cook anything with and your good to go! Good luck!

I've cooked from scratch for many years, I'm fact in The 1980's I was involved In pioneering the organic foods market, threw growing organics on a farm and writing articles for grass roots magazine. I still eat clean and I still cook from scratch. In my life it was ageing and not expending enough energy to what I was…

Sugar and wine aren't very helpful if you are of a certain age even with a deficit. Gluten affects the gut and the bowel, you can eat healthy and still gain weight. Really its about deficit (eating less than you expend) and then when you near your goal it's about what's stopping you? Like in my case chocolate and wine :(

I agree with you, it does work, counting calories rules and I feel healthy! Hair, skin and overall posture has also improved. As I also gave up smoking 15 months ago and then took up exercise and eating for health and fitness, I have to confess I feel great! It's the best thing I've ever done for me :)
