  • Thank you for the suggestions.. As far as my expectation, this is what MFP calculated - no me. I'm lucky if I lose 1lb a week - regardless of the 800 calories. I tried to go through the goals and profile again... but it still shows the same amounts. Thank you for the suggestions.
  • I think the ticker is stil only my 5 week "expectation" not my total loss - I would like to lose 69lbs.
  • Thank you for suggestions. Not sure why my ticker only shows 37lbs, but I do have more to lose then 37. I went through and redid everything - so hopefully it will have updated. I do understand about seeing another doctor, and I have in the past seen a dietician/ nutritionist -and I gained weight with her. I have lost…
  • Thank you - hopefully it will kick in strong!
  • This is a tough time of year. I was doing fantastically before Sandy hit the tri state area - then I had to modify because of necessity, now I am struggling to get back to being strict. I felt so good when I was following, only allowing 1 "cheat" meal a week, I'm not really sure what happened, but I need it back - as well…
  • I'm sorry about your brothers home - definitely makes one look at things in perspective. This is a journey, and i know there will be bumps in the road, but have to focus on what is important. Thank you again!
  • Thank you - glad your power is back - I so want mine back as well. The kids are going stir crazy as well!!!
  • Thank you - the thought of adding more fat is very scary!!! I will go buy coconut oil this weekend - and make that change from Olive Oil. I'll keep looking for ideas, and plugging away - hopefully the lbs and inches will drop soon!!! As far as Stats - here is history. I started a weight loss journey 6 years ago - I had…
  • I was going to post the same title this morning. Now mind you - I've only been on Paleo less than a week - I think I'm doing everything okay - and I did have a sushi "cheat" meal last sunday night - but beyond it - I'm not really sure what I am doing wrong. I thought within the the last 2 weeks, i would drop a significant…
  • Thank you - I am finding Paleo challenging, but definitely doable. I guess I will allow the "cheat" if I need it. As far as the Sushi goes - we were at a Restaurant - and it was good. I had some sushi/ Maki - but tried to stick mostly with the Sashimi. I will say one thing so far - I had my gallbladder out 5 years ago -…
  • So the headachy thing is all part of the carb-flu. I was wondering if I was starting to get sick. I was headachy all weekend, and I too have only started the Paleo lifestyle a week ago. When does it end????
  • Thank you. I'll wait the week - if it doesn't subside, I'll try to add more fat. Thank you again.
  • I have two girls - almost 11 and almost 8. My older one became very "store" specific about a year or so ago - the younger one followed suit. 5 is young, but not, when you consider what goes on in the schools. I wish our schools had uniforms - as that would "prevent" some of the branding, but when others are wearing…
  • Typically I lose weight faster without exercising, but I lose weight slowly to begin with (very frustrating). I do exercise 5-6 days a week - and I haven't seen the scale move in almost a month - so frustrating. I account for everything I eat (including the red wine and balsamic vinegar in salads), but I don't eat my…
  • Having been a member of weight watchers since I was 8 and seeing all the changes through the years - I can tell you it is accounted for - even being free. If you log an entire bag of vegetables on line - the points DO NOT come up with Zero - it does count it - I did it for years - and know that it counts it. As of right…
  • Guess breakfast isn't just for breakfast anymore
  • I'm on the same train as well. I started out in the high 200's, got as low as 159 and now I"m back up. I'm still 70lbs down, but it is so frustrating that I let this happen. I know I got restricted with exercise (slipped spine, bursitis), but i should have watched better and did the exercises I could. I lied to myself for…
  • What is TDEE??? My goal is 1500 calories. I'm "glad" someone else has had this experience - at least I'm not alone. I will make an effort to get more protein in.
  • At one time, when I weighed less then him, he knew, not that I gained weight back (still down 65 - 70 lbs from my highest) I don't share. I'm too Embarrassed that I gained it back and my fat % went up.... He doesn't care - but I do. I know his weight and %, and its actually annoying - he eats like crap - I eat…
  • I shouldn't be losing muscle - not based on my workouts. I do strength training 3-4 days a week, and I try to stick with the weights where I'm "burnt" out at the end of a set. It was different people who did the measuring, but its one of those hand held things where you hold tight!! As far as eating enough and getting…
  • I have had the DVD now for over a month - and haven't started it. I decided to go back to the gym instead. Now after reading this thread, I want to leave work and go home and do it. That being said - I can only work out in the morning - due to Kids schedules -I think I will get up tomorrow morning, do the Fit Test - and…
  • Rockland County!
  • I'll have to try strength training under cardio - I did not know it!
  • What about the fact that the MFP doesn't calculate any calorie deficit for weight training. That gets frustrating. Not that I rely on it in the least - I just want to see it. :)
  • Count me in - I'm going no where fast - and could use support and accountability as well.
  • My goal is to lose 60lbs, 30 of it I had already lost and unfortunately put back on. Now I need to get my mind in focus and get it off again. Mini goal is to be down 15lbs before end of August when we go to Disney. I don't have issues getting out of breath, fitting into seats, etc - I just want to look a little better in…
