  • I absoutely believe determination will win every time if you're focused and you really really want it!!
  • Congratulations on stopping smoking! I gave up 6 years ago and also gained weight (like I'm talking major - more than 9 lbs more like 18 lbs over time!) Please, please don't even contemplate going back to that horrible stuff!! Use this site is all I can say! You may be picking up food in 'bits and pieces' and not really be…
  • 105 pounds is very small - depending on how tall she was of course. I wouldn't worry about it - you will come down and hey at least you are doing something about it which is more than what 95% of people do. Just be honest in your diaries and stick to your workouts (hopefully you are doing some type of exercise - at least…
  • I think for a start, your beef patty is over-stated in terms of calories? Regardless, you really want to try to even walk a little every day - some kind of exercise will really help you toward your goals and means you can eat while you lose weight which I think is the key to all this. If you can eat, you won't feel…
  • I stopped last year for 3 1/2 months and HUGE impact. Like you say, there is the calories associated with drinking then the next day you are always up for your run etc without fail! I also find my food choices after drinking are not so good especially when I get home and the next day if hung over!!! I got to my goal weight…
  • You don't need to lose weight first. Just run for as long as you can, walk until you have caught your breath then run again. Just build it up slowly - start by going out for 10 - 15 minutes and add a few minutes every time you go. And remember, speed is not your friend when you're a beginner runner, just do what you can!…
  • You look so great! You look like you've lost 40 pounds you look so good. You most definitely should be proud of yourself, your husband is right!!!
  • WELL DONE - you look smokin hot!
  • Oh my gosh - Myofusion Strawberries and Cream flavour - its the nicest tasting protein powder ever - even my kids now drink small amounts and they hated all my other protein powders! It has a mix of whey, casein and egg proteins which is great for 'longevity' of the protein in your system. I mix in a blender one scoop,…
  • Great thanks for this - I just got up and put some bananas in the freezer :)
  • Absolutely. I'm in, I need a motivational 'kick' to keep me on the straight and narrow (damned wine!) Starting weight 134lbs.

  • I wouldn't eat them all that late at night - you'll never sleep with your poor body working to digest it all night. I would go for a good lean protein like a shake or something, at least your body will use it if it needs it!
  • My step-daughters 21st, my lowest point in terms of depression and self esteem after a tough few years. Got totally off my rocker and couldn't get out of bed the next day. I knew something had to change and soon. Then came the photos from the 21st and they were hideous - I had ballooned from over-eating and drinking too…
  • Me too - I am on Day 1 of Classic. I went on holiday overseas for a couple of weeks and have gained some weight so I bought this while I was there, really looking forward to the results :)) Good luck - I'll add you and we can help each other through it!!!

  • Hang in there! I would be eating the chips AND drinkin' the wine if it was me!! Stay strong, the rest of NZ are thinking of you all x
  • Definitely Asics have been the best for me personally but it depends on your gait and running style - better to get yourself to a specialist running shoe store who have the latest gizmos to see what you need. happy running!
  • Why are you doing it? Refresh your memory as to why you actually want to lose weight and keep it in mind while you exercise. I agree - having support on here is also great and keeps you going but you really need to understand why you want it so bad!
  • Maybe you should be looking at eating those 1450 calories and see what that does first. You may find that eating to your current 'maximum' is enough to kick start yourself. If it doesn't you could add 100 calorie increments from there.
  • If it's a scheduled work out day for me, I work out. You could promise yourself half a workout if you're still not feeling great part way through it but I think you'll find you will keep going once you start!
  • I don't agree - ALL sugar, natural or not is processed by your body in the same way. Your body has no idea whether it comes from added sugar or sugar from fruit - it will still give you the same insulin spike which is what you want to avoid. Try to have more vegetables than fruit to get your vitamins, fibre and minerals.…
  • Yes totally agree with the size thing - I now have to force myself go to the smallest size in the store, but I still hold it up, frown, shake my head and say that would never fit me, its so small!! I then go to the changing room without showing the sales assistant the size in case she/he cracks up laughing that I would…
  • Daily. I like to understand exactly what my diet tweaks and exercise does to my body. I record anything I lose as very generally when I lose, I don't get it back again. If I weighed weekly and waited all week and the number didn't change or happened to be up on that day, I'd be gutted!!!
  • Wow what a difference - well done you are looking great!
  • You look so young now!!! Well done, you look great
  • Hi - I started running 2 1/2 years ago and I noticed the same thing - my weight stayed the same. Don't worry, it took me about 3 weeks of consistent effort but once it starts, it really does, you will be so excited once it starts coming off!! Consistency is the key with running. If I have a break of more than a month, I go…
