She was actually trained as a dancer, and went to college for dance long before she ever became a singer. :)

She is amazing! Definitely want to be in that shape at 52 and beyond. Maybe I should add her to my fit inspirations list. :) I recorded the half time show because it was so good!

Check out my blog: www.fitnessbender.com it's tons of different home workouts, totally free, for all levels. :) It can give you some ideas for different exercise moves you can do at home. Other fun things you can do are jump roping, hula hooping, and jumping on a mini trampoline (but the first two are cheaper!) :)

I think the fact that you are aware of your inclination towards binge eating is going to help you so much. :) You are on track to creating a healthy lifestyle that you can maintain. Keep up the good work!

THis sounds delicious! I made healthy pumpkin muffins last night if you're interested. :) 128 calories with frosting. http://www.fitnessbender.com/2012/01/healthy-pumpkin-muffins-with-cream.html I think I am going to try your recipe today! I just need to buy some splenda or figure out the stevia conversion. :)

I just posted a recipe just like this on my blog! I didn't even think about asparagus, but that sounds amazing!

You have to eat in a way that you will be able to maintain throughout your life. Obviously you will go to maintenance calorie wise, but you want to create a healthy lifestyle. That said, I think it's really important to include "normal" foods in your diet, and learn how to eat them in moderation. :) Keep the healthy…

Per serving! I guess I should have clarified. :)

I agree with the other posters. Make sure you are getting enough fiber, protein and healthy fats. These three things are the key to feeling full. Also, I can't cut out carbs without feeling ravenously hungry. I eat bagel thins and sandwhich thins, as well as other healthy whole grain carbs through the day. :)

All I do are home workouts! :D Check out my blog: www.fitnessbender.com I have videos and workout breakdowns of everything I do. 99% of the workouts require no equipment. Also, if you have any questions or need modifications for anything just send me a message.

I completely agreee! Two of my good friends, who also happen to be two of the most stunningly gorgeous women I know, fall into the "full figured" category. I have never met a person that didn't think these ladies are gorgeous, and I would like to see them more represented on television/the media. There are so many body…

Thanks Ron! Your workout was one of my favorites to do! :D

Muscle! Here's a picture to show you why: http://www.fitnessbender.com/2011/11/why-number-on-scale-isnt-everything.html Losing inches is a far better indicator of fitness than losing pounds on the scale. It means you have lost a lot of fat, and put on lean muscle and that equals a better metabolism! Yay! Good job! :)

You need a day off to let your body heal! Make sure you hydrate enough, and do some walking and stretching to get the lactic acid out of your body. :) Good work though!
-
Thank you for sharing your amazing transformation! You're an inspiration. I am so happy that you made these healthy life changes, and are reaping the benefits. You look great, and I bet you feel even better. :) Good luck!

Agree! I think she has one of the best celeb bodies out there! :) She looks healthy and sexy.

Lamkin73: I am guessing 24.

My favorite new high protein snack is greek yogurt mixed with peanut butter and a packet of stevia in the raw (to sweeten it up a bit). It's super quick and delicious! To build muscle you should have a gram of protein per pound of body weight (or your goal weight). I have made a chocolate whey protein and PB smoothie that…

What did your physician clear you for? I study occupational therapy so I may be able to make some helpful recommendations, but not without knowing what your doctor said.

Great job!!! The difference is very obvious!!! :D

When I put it in I got less than that. I got: Calories Carbs Fat Protein Fiber Calcium 143 19 6 4 3 6 With the MFP recipe app, based on the fact that the recipe made 14 cupcakes. If you make bigger cupcakes it would have more.

http://www.fitnessbender.com/2011/12/healthy-feta-stuffed-chicken-dinner-231.html Healthy feta stuffed chicken, with pictures, 231 calories if you use nuts. Less if you don't. http://www.fitnessbender.com/2011/12/healthy-and-delicious-multi-grain-wrap.html This one has pics and is under 400 cals, but I forget exactly how…

I actually post tons of ab workouts on my blog, but some of my favorite moves for a six pack are: mountain climbers, burpees, pushups, and a variety of other ab workouts. :)
-
I would guess that your lack of appetite has a lot to do with it. Sometimes when other things are going on you just get a general down feeling. You will rebound and be right back where you started.
-
How do you make pictures show up in the actual post? :) (I feel so lame asking that!)

Sounds great. :) If you are loving the biking and everything go for it, just listen to your body. You are doing a fantastic job. I do short interval training style workouts. Maybe try one of those every once in a while, just to mix things up for your body. :)
-
I thought I loved working out, but I've got nothing on you! :) Listen to your body, if it starts to get tired of what you're doing it's time to cut back. The cardio you're doing isn't a super high intensity, but you could probably cut it down to 30 minutes and bring up your speed. Realistically unless you are training for…

Try mixing up your workouts. Maybe add some interval training. It sounds like you're right on with diet. I am a huge fan of guacamole and avocado so I think you're okay with that. :) If you want to try some new workouts that are prob different from what you are currently doing check out: www.fitnessbender.com I film all of…
