I think that a lot of the points are valid. This article is not saying do all of these things and you will be thin, it is saying that these are some common habits of people that are thin. It's not an attack on anyone's lifestyle or choices, it's just a compilation of trends seen by researchers. Also, I differentiate thin…

It varies. I have food sensitivities, where my stomach feels super bloated and hurts. For a while I thought I had it narrowed down to corn (which is in a LOT of things!). I don't have problems when I eat super clean and natural foods. Also, drinking a lot of tea does it to me. Keep track of what you are eating and how you…

That's fantastic!!! It's so much better to have a healthy mental approach to food. :) It's not the enemy. Congratulations!

All different times. It just depends when I have time to fit it in. Plus I coach/run with a high school cross country team, so I always get in some type of workout right around 3pm. :)

Wait! Just because your symptoms are gone does not mean your concussion is healed! Returning to exercise to soon, especially if there is chance of re-injury can lead to long term effects. When you do start, try some mat work and things where you can immediately stop (in a safe position) if dizziness strikes you. Be…

Many 5Ks allow you to register as a walker or a runner. If you are walking just make sure you line up toward the back so none of the runners bump you or have to go around you (many people are running for a specific time goal, and every second counts). You can always alternate running and walking if you are able to. :) Good…

As several other people have said, body fat looks very different on different people. The most dangerous fat is deep body fat, which surrounds your internal organs. New studies and measurements, including DEXA analysis are showing that alarming numbers of people with low BMIs actually have high body fat percentages when…

Yes, I 100% agree. My doctor told me "You look really tiny to weigh that much." Ummmm, thanks?!? lol The scale doesn't tell the entire story.

Fantastic job!!! I love that you set a goal and met it! Keep on doing that and no one can stop you. :) You're amazing!

Mine is a .7 :) I like measurements better than scales.

Hairstylists have a special blow drying technique that makes your hair super shiny, plus the shampoo does make a difference. Next time you go to the salon ask them to show you how they blow dry (or just pay extra close attention). What kind of pageant are you doing?

That sounds amazing!!!! I love spaghetti squash all ways, I bake it insides down in a pan with some water. I can eat it plain, or toss it with some marinara. It's good on a spinach salad. I don't think I have had it any way I didn't like. :)

Congratulations!!!! :)

My gown was by Sophia Tolli, and I absolutely LOVED it, and got a million compliments on how unique it was. :) Congrats on your wedding! Do you have a style in mind?

I must make these! what flavor of protein did you use?

Thanks quixoticmantis! :D

Thank you guys so much! MeredithAshton your comment brought a huge smile to my face! :) Here's to all of us making our dreams come true!

We are the same weight and height. It sounds like maybe a bit of strength training would help you achieve the results you are looking for, instead of more weight loss. If you are happy with your weight that's great! Personally when I get around 125 I start to look way to skinny. I found a picture recently and I thought I…

What type of yoga is it? Those are awesome intense workouts, but you will also want to do some toning exercises, as long cardio based sessions will burn both fat and muscle if you don't also include some type of strength training. Yoga can be a great strength training activity, but it depends on the style of the class. :)

My hubby and I motivate each other to stay fit and strong. We each have different strengths, and I think it creates a nice balance.

I'm not from the UK, but I like having other friends that are into fitness. :)

French Vanilla Coffee Creamer. I just love it. Although I have been using less, and adding coconut almond milk to my coffee as well. I have a peanut butter addiction too, but I manage to work that into my diet every day. :) Just don't leave me alone with a spoon and a jar while I am hungry, haha.

I think it depends on your body, and your diet/nutrients you are getting each day. Personally I need to have crabs in my diet to feel full, but I normally stick to whole wheat grains whether it is bread or pasta. I do not think it is necessary to cut carbs in order to get in shape, but some people's bodies are super…

How do you feel? Generally you don't want to increase mileage by more than 10% a week, but you have a little bit more leeway when you are first building. I run on consecutive days (5-6X per week), and I have never had an injury, but I definitely built up to running slowly when I first started. Cross training is a great…

I agree with the other posters. Keep doing what you're doing, and your body will become more efficient at running. You want to build your endurance and blood volume so your body can utilize oxygen more efficiently. As this happens you will naturally speed up. Because you are working out on the treadmill you can increase…

There is a really wide range, and it totally depends on your body type. I am slightly taller (around 5'5") and weigh about 134. Personally I think 128 is the low end of where I look good. I have a medium frame. I recently found a picture of myself when I was around 125 pounds or so and I thought I looked scary skinny, and…

I teach yoga and I can do numerous one legged pistol squats in a row. I have also done up to 45 real pushups in a row (including more difficult variations) and I could have done more. I do primarily body weight exercises, and I would classify them as a combination of cardiovascular and strength training. I agree with…

Some of the replies on this thread are a bit over the top. I have had many of my body building friends try some of my workouts, and struggle though. Some of them have even been guests on my videos, and they were shocked at the difficulty of my routines. Strength training does not have to be done with the goal of getting…

I figure exercise is great regardless of what you where. My sister in law just told me that she would never go to the gym with someone who works out in a sports bra and shorts...I guess she isn't a fan of my blog, lol. I didn't take it personally because I work out in what is comfortable for me. If other people make a…
