Stir fried with yummy sauce, spices, and a tasty protein.

Define "junk"? Is Skippy peanut butter "junk"?

fwiw, I find that shirataki noodles are GREAT in pho. We make it at home often.

You *may* be in ketosis. I don't know what number my sweet spot is, but I'd bet, given how I eat, that it's around 50-75 grams. Keeps my blood sugar calm and even. Keeps the cravings at bay. Win, win.

This, at least the kind I had, is a very different kind of dizziness. In fact, I usually refer to it as wobbly eyes. It's a very weird feeling of my eye and my head/brain not being in sync. (and my blood work was normal)
-
Whoops! Forgot my exercise. Walk 2 miles to work. Piyo at noon, strength class at 5. Walk 1 mile home.
-
The dizziness was definitely worse when I was dehydrated or when my blood sugars were goofy (another reason I reduced carbs some). Gosh, you're awfully young. Sorry it's slamming you. My dizzy spells started at about 40 too. But the rest didn't hit until much later. One "trick" I used with the dizziness: if I had something…

Day 17 P2 The scale has suddenly become stubborn, which my rationale mind was expecting, but still. (I knew that when I added back some more carbs my glycogen stores would fill and I'd stall. I also doubled exercise this week, as I'm back at work and the work gym so it's water retention central.) One more week of soft…

Dizziness was my FIRST and my most annoying symptom. Now that I'm on the other side I'm pretty sure it was bad when estrogen was highest and progesterone was lowest. The dizziness is mostly gone (knock on wood) except when I do certain things (like climb a ladder). If you're taking prometrium (progesterone) be sure to take…

I tend to do things like: spinach in an omelet, or asparagus spears. Lots of folks add V8...

Weird. I sent again.

EDIT: I decided to have a big pre-made salad (local organic place on campus) with a can of sardines. YUM.

JEALOUS!!!

Absolutely!! Do it! Silvergirl does as well, as does Magic sometimes.

Day 16 P2. I'm sore from head to toe from yesterday's PiYo class. yay. Today's plan: treadmill walk this morning. Weight lifting class tonight br: kellogg's quiche cup sn: some arugula and a babybel (I can't wait until these stitches come out I'm dying for some raw veg and humus!) lu: shiritaki noodles with spinach, pesto,…

Yes. He's definitely a fan of fiber. To be honest, I haven't finished wake up call. I read at it from time to time, and like it, but for some reason I've never made it through. I devoured the Heart book. Btw, I sent you a PM with more information.
-
Heh. 90% of my hot flashes were just burning red ears. I have short hair. I looked ridiculous.
-
Low carb and low salt is a BAD idea. You need MORE salt on a low carb diet. I'll let others comment on detoxing.
-
Wake up call is a bit of a slog. It's more of a "what's wrong with how American's eat". Start with the SB diet. 👍
-
DASH (the weight loss one) is very much based on SB. SB is very much based on Mediterranean diet so that fits nicely with your blue zones. I'm currently doing a "reboot" as I gained a bit with menopause, but had maintained successfully for 15+ years following the basic principles. There are a couple of different books: The…

The original book is a good "common sense" read. Libraries and thrift stores usually have it. The Dr. who designed and supported it recently retired, and nutrisystem bought the name and turned it into a mail order low carb food plan. Definitely not the same, as the original focused on fresh whole foods. When I first lost…

I typically use CBD 3 times a day. Morning, mid afternoon, and at bedtime. That seems to help me. My BES BEST BES sleep was when I was taking Prometrium (100mg progesterone) at night. LOVED that.
-
Many find it's excellent for anxiety. I don't have anxiety, but did find that it evened out my never ending menopause irritability. It was like a "PMS" "pre menopause syndrome". CBD helped the most. It's also helped the most with hot flashes. (and lingering bursitis)
-
Or magnesium supplements. I use them nightly, not for sleep, but I'm assuming it helps.
-
I use melatonin, and CBD oil (which IS legal). (and sometimes Benadryl). I know several women in the menopause group here have also talked about their insomnia. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/506-near-or-post-menopausal-group feel free to join us.

Does the new mail order meal plan use macros? The ORIGINAL South Beach diet did not have any macros. There's a small group of folks doing the original plan. https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/8279-original-south-beach-diet-dash-diet-weight-loss-solution-low-glycemic-load-eating-group

ONWARD to day 15.

That's great looking. YUM! Are you doing the original south beach diet?
