Every time I re-visit this thread I'm inspired.

Hi! Sorry the group has been slow! Sounds like you're nearing the next phase. Looking back I'd say that's important. It's not "menopause" and then we're done. It's NEW ERA of our lives. With all that entails. Good luck!

Nice of us to beta test the bar code feature for them.
-
Yep. It's not working AT ALL. I can see food, but can't log.

I don't "cheat" on my life. It's my life. I know indulgences will happen. Birthday parties, happy hour etc. Life happens. I certainly don't "plan to cheat". For me, none of that makes for a healthy lifestyle. I guess I'd compare it to romance. if you feel you have to cheat, and even plan to cheat, is it really "good"? 🤷♀️

I'm sure this myth has money behind it, but yes, I wish it could just die.

I would be MUCH more concerned about the hormones in milk, fast food meats etc. than soy. And no. The soy you eat does not really raise hormone levels. It has phytoestrogens, as do many vegetables and grains. https://www.uspharmacist.com/article/focus-on-phytoestrogens I aim for soy phytoestrogens. If you have concerns…

I LOVE that you keep these going!!

Hi and welcome. You're smart to focus on your health during the menopausal transition. I hope this place helps you.

ABSOLUTELY. Full stop.

I'm a big fan of Mission Low Carb Tortillas. And I'm a tortilla snob.

Definitely check out the launchpad. Welcome!

Sorry, but this looks like spam.

Good luck! I hope they work well for you!

Ultimately, it seemed most folks moved to Facebook to follow SB. There are several very active groups there.

Such great posts here. Very inspiring!

The shop provides options. Exactly. That lady's rights end where mine begin. Her preferences end where mine begin. I seek out sugar free options and likely always will. Related-ish: I used to get my hair cut at a salon that doubled as a pool hall and bar. That was their "thing". It was a treat to have a Prosecco while…

OP needs to clarify what she's aiming for, it seems.

I over pay for Quest chips. I'd have to give those up to try these. I might some time.

Yup. Meat still has protein.

Actually no. It doesn't. It's its own category "macro wise". How our bodies process it is different, as we have to burn it FIRST, but no, "alcohol" isn't particularly "carby".

I do Supernatural, AudioTrip CARDIO and some fitXR. Right now AudioTrip Cardio has my attention.
-
I do. I do Supernatural, and FitXR primarily.

Dehydration/water retention. You likely didn't "gain" 4Lbs of fat in 2 days whilst sick. Drink fluids and wait it out.

Atkins has a whole vegetarian plan now, you might find a few ideas there as well. https://files.atkins.com/SS2020_40_Vegetarian_Plan.pdf https://www.atkins.com/how-it-works/library/articles/the-eco-atkins-diet https://files.atkins.com/Atkins-30-Vegetarian-Meal-Plan.pdf (Ignoring all the atkins foods as you see fit)

I agree with much of what @lemurcat2 said above. Starting with added sugars that are obvious (pop, biscuits, candy bars, etc.) would be a great start. Then just read labels. You'll learn a lot about where you can easily cut back. Years back, I swapped refined grains with whole grains (which eliminated a lot of added…
