I don't worry about the word diet. It has several meanings including 'what you eat'.

To clarify: not all HRT is made from pregnant mare's urine.
-
I posted a thread a few weeks ago about shiritaki noodles (same thing). I offered a few recipes. If you can find it.

Sounds great!

Sounds like hot flashes to me! I just had a series of them, while in a heat wave, in Asia. NOT my idea of fun!
-
I would party! but please remember: the symptoms don't stop with the bleeding. I wish they did!

Is there evidence that soy causes weight gain? I've not seen that.
-
I think so gets a bad rap in part because much of it is GMO, even though much other food is also GMO. It very often gets a bad rap because it has estrogenic properties. In fact it gets worse publicity than virtually any phytoestrogen or xenoestrogens.
-
I'm not going to weigh in on the phytoestrogens much, except to say: context is important. As a post menopausal woman, I'm actually looking for phytoestrogens. And to note that soy comes in so much lower, but boy does it get all the press.

Thanks for this as well. It's been a while since I visited Japan. This time I'm there for about 10 days.
-
I love Shabu Shabu! (I've been to Japan before). Thanks for the ideas.
-
That's ALL? Potatoes are fine. Good bread is fine. Now, that's not terribly balanced, so what ELSE can you comfortably eat?
-
I had tamagoyaki last time I was in Japan. A savory variety was my favorite. Fortunately, desserts aren't my thing, so at least there's that.
-
Do you have an appointment with a dietician?
-
My understanding is that MFP does it the way it does because in many countries it's ALREADY net carbs. ie in some other countries the carb count IS net carbs.

Pizza. Too much bread gives me a tummy ache and causes other "issues".

So probably neither the 332 weight nor the 341 weight is your "real" weight. Especially a night time weight after drinking two gallons of water and eating. You're probably somewhere south of 337. Keep eating at a deficit, but not too great of one. If you're burning 1k-2k calories a day with exercise, how many are you…
-
How old are you?
-
I have no issue at all with folks choosing a low carb approach to weight loss. I also have no issue with vegetarians.
-
What's your height?
-
I sometimes like this website: https://oldwayspt.org It's not terribly compatible with low carb eating, but has good info.
-
It really does depend. When I lost weight I went with the old adage: 5 feet is 100Lbs, and 5Lbs an inch after that. At 5'6", 130 looked great on me. It wouldn't on many who are 5'6". These days I aim for the middle of "normal" BMI. That suits me well.

How would a vegetarian do a carb cleanse? Plant foods ARE carbs.
-
It sounds somewhat similar to how I eat. If you like reading, check out ketotarian by Dr. Will Cole. It's a low carb diet that relies a lot on plants for the fats, and is otherwise more pescatarian than omnivore. It was a good read.

Learn how to cook.

This guy has a "pegan" diet, but it's not entirely vegan. Good food for thought, regardless. https://drhyman.com/blog/2014/11/07/pegan-paleo-vegan/

I've always just used a calendar. I tried a couple of trackers and hated them.
-
That's a reasonable keto split then!
-
Are you sure your friend gave you a GRAMS suggestion? By my (terrible) maths that adds up to 678 calories a day. You likely need about double that. Perhaps she said 70% (percent) fat, 20% protein and 10% carbs? I'd personally find a keto calculator you like and follow that. Be sure you're eating enough.

I can't lose these days even with vodka and club sodas.
