Hi Whitney, I only quoted your post because I hadn't addressed it. I was grateful for the feedback and my apologies if it didn't come across that way. I think I just need to be moving a whole lot more. I hope the cleanse this week will kickstart me. I suspect a lot of this is just de-motivational thinking on my part.…

Whitney, my children are gluten intolerant and I hate g-free foods so it's pretty rare. I have had some rice this week but mostly the carbs are from whole fruits and vegetables.

Anna, you rock. This week I've not logged well at all because I've been so discouraged. Prior to that yes. I was measuring things and watching the portions for sure. I'm exhausted. I do take a multi but probably not as much as I should. I never sleep enough because I have two little 'uns who don't sleep through…

I like a couple of packed cups of spinach, kale or romaine with two green apples and a beet. I add water and sometimes throw I. CIA seeds or flax. Green Smoothie Revolution is a great resource. you do need to rotate your greens, I think it's an oxylate issue

I'm relatively new to being vegan as well but I definitely feel better! Enjoy the shift!

For me the best part was getting rid of migraines I had suffered with since age 9! I had no idea that wold append when had tried everything else but it did. I totally agree though, just being vegan won't do it, you need to consume fresh, healthy foods. Move gotten into green smoothies lately and I'm enjoying them a lot.…

Get it Ripe and Ripe From Around Here by Jae Steele. The China Study. Hoping to get Veganomicon next. Or perhaps something by Esselstyn or Barnard. :)

Olive oil does have a really low smoke point which turns a very nutritious product into an unhealthy one. It's best drizzled over foods later. They probably call for so much to try to avoiid burning your garlic by simmering it. Coconut oil is also a very healthy fat that aids in weight loss. It has a really high smoke…

I just started. I've literally done two vids. My plan is six times per week. Got a little de-railed in between one and two because of a sick little guy. Will do day 3 tonight. I'm not sure why but there's something about the sixty days that appeals to me. :)
-
I love all this feedback, thanks!!
-
I just saw this now, I'm so in! I've done day 1 and provided no one is puking in my house tonight ( stupid flu :grumble: ) I'll be doing the second day. Did you create a group?

Hmmmm, sounds like some HRM research is in order for me. I'm eating super clean and watching calories so something HAS to budge!!!

I haven't read the book but I'd love to! I'm vegan and loving it. Feel free to add me. There are some groups on here too. Happy Herbivore is one. I can't think of the names of the vegan and vegetarian ones but you can do a search. Happy transitioning! I'm around if you have some questions. I'll try to answer. Some people…

@MDVOID, I found it crazy hard too. I did better than I thought I would. I have to admit, I took a whole lot of comfort in seeing some of the participants collapse and him telling them to rest! How many days are you going to do it? @Deb, is insanity how you got looking like you are??? I'm totally ready to go for…

Check out Dr. Wayne Dyer's Excuses Begone (and yes, that's how it's spelled). He talks all about how we set up patterns of behaviour that aren't working for us and how to change it. Really, anything he has written is awesome!

Happy vegan-versary! Lol

Rats, I forgot to sign up! I have all the recipes from last time....I'll have to sign up tonight.

Completely awesome!!!!! Well done! My whole thing started because I want to be much better at yoga....perhaps a little logo on my card might work too. Too bad for poor hubby who borrows mine a lot!

@health is totally correct. Your body must maintain alkalinity and meat, dairy, eggs and refined food all cause an acidic environment. Pop is one of the culprits. The phosphorous in it competes with calcium for space and if you drink a lot of pop the calcium loses. Plant based, whole foods are where it's at! It makes me so…

Our local one always has a dairy free sherbet option. That's a great idea about froyo toppings though, they always have frozen fruit!

Yum!

B12 alone won't cause a weight loss like that. It's what the Bernstein plan is. B vitamin injections and a very high protein, low carb, low calorie diet. I tried and lost a lot the first month but was so sick my doc threatened me with hospitalization if I didn't stop. Most people I know who did that program re-gained it…

I am a cyster too, it's so crummy. Probiotics are a really good way to manage anxiety. They re-balance the bacteria in your gut and helps you to get rid of toxins (which is essentially what your skin is trying to do). Lorna Vanderhaege has buckets of free info on her website (I think it's hormonehelp.com) and she has a…

LOVE bean dips of any kind. They're so easy to make and then you can control the salt, the fat and the protein. If you're making your own, the basics are a can of beans (chick peas for hummus, sub in any other kind of bean if you want to shake it up....I like white kidney beans a lot!), a tbsp or so of tahini, I use most…

I like smoothies because they're quick to make and I can down them in between running around after my children. I use a vegan protein powder (so it's non-dairy) and add water and frozen fruit. If I'm feeling crazy I add coconut milk yogurt or unsweetened coconut milk. If I'm really rushed it's just the powder and water.…

Thanks! I've been following HH on fb and can't wait for the book to get here ! I'm really not sure. I'm bringing two veggie dishes for Christmas day so at the very least I can eat that. Both of my kids have food sensitivities so in a big gathering like that I don't get much time to eat anyway.
