  • Toss them with tomato, avocado, sea salt and cilantro. Maybe some chopped chilis as well.
  • Tosca Reno has just put out a vegetarian version of Clean Eating. It will have meal plans and she balances proteins with carbs.
  • Check out Jae Steele's Ripe From Around Here or Get It Ripe. My husband is a devout meat eater and loooooves her recipes, even though they're all vegan. This is a guy who really doesn't like veg at all. Enjoy! Thought I'd add, she's a holistic nutritionist so her foods are all whole, clean foods as opposed to vegan junk…
  • There's a great book called The Green Smoothie Revoltuion with loads of recipes. I generally do water, several handfuls of kale or spinach and frozen berries. Watermelon blended with spinach is really delicious too!!! I don't tend to add cucumber or celery but lots of people do.
  • I slice the sprouts and lots of onion on a mandolin. Toss it in a sauté pan with a little coconut oil and sea salt. If I'm feeling really wild, I let it cool a bit and wrap it in a rice paper wrap. Oh, and sometimes I add minced garlic too. Delish!
  • I really can't say it enough, for us, the naturo WTH was the way to go. She got my son on the right doses fish oil, probiotic and an awesome multi. Without those things, you can't help him heal a leaky gut. We had over 90 things tested with her in one finger prick test. It even showed how severe each sensitivity was. We…
  • We're dairy and gluten free around here and it makes a world of difference to eczema! You can try substituting coconut milk yogurt, coconut milk, rice milk. They even have rice milk chocolate bars and ice cream. My son was under three when we started. I did it cold turkey and explained those foods were making him sick and…
  • My kids loooove smoothies. I use Vega protein, water, few handfuls of spinach and a bunch of frozen berries with a frozen banana. I've made the banana soft serve with just bananas. You can even dot it with non dairy chocolate chips. My kids eat buckets of fruit and lots of raw veg too. Even just bowls of frozen berries are…
  • Coming up for ten years married, just celebrated fifteen years together. My husband is a man who can make me laugh in a nanosecond, loves me and our children deeply, protects us fiercely. He is mildly amused when I talk about losing weight as he doesn't understand why I don't see myself as beautiful. Ten days after our…
  • So, I have to ask, what does BBW stand for? I find the whole thing just jaw dropping. I don't believe her goal is making being fat sexy, but, even if that were the case, it's stunning to me that she sees any sense of normalcy or wellness in her choices. And him? Yikes!
  • 16.5 POUNDS??? POUNDS? Not ounces? Geez, you could have been killed! Imagine the internal bleeding. Please, go lay down and wait for an ambulance. This is very serious indeed.
  • Chocolate Vega One is awesome! Expensive yes, but tastes great.
  • I'm not totally raw but I'm considering taking a class that is coming locally. I do eat loads of raw foods. I'm I terested in recipes!

  • Don't let one silly woman derail your awesome progress!
  • Vegan here! Just got a new bottle of Vega protein. It used to be called the optimizer and was kind of chalky. This one is so smooth and so chocolate-y, it's awesome! I think it has 15g of protein and has a whole compliment of vitamins and minerals. Don't forget, fruits and veg all have protein too. I like info from PCRM…
  • Yeah you! I just had my official one year too, so between us we've saved fifty animals!!
  • That. Is. Awesome!!!!! You win! You let go of alcohol and all of the hurt it caused and reclaimed a happy, healthy, confident you!!!!
  • I so appreciate your passion for your own health, and that of others. What a great post!!!
  • Sending you all sorts of love and healing vibes. We lost our first baby to an ectopic pregnancy at ten weeks. I remember sobbing in the weight room. Like you, getting on track helped me to grieve. You're most welcome to add me. I love sharing the journey toward health with others. Gentle hugs coming your way. And MFPs,…
  • Eat lots of fruit.
  • Eat To Live is another good one.
  • Rawwwwr! Well done!
  • I like Eat To Live. It incorporates raw and cooked food. I get too cold if all I eat is raw. I do love the idea of preserving enzymes and eating living foods. Sprouts are a big favorite for me. I know a couple of people who do completely raw, that's just not for me.
  • Awesome thread Daffodil. You have fantastic ideas! I wish I knew how to post from my phone. :grumble:
  • Oooooh, now I'm jonesing for multi grain tortillas and homemade guac! Or popcorn doused in nutritional yeast. Carbs plus salt equal
  • That's great news!!!
  • As long as you're reaching for healthy, whole foods, have at! Don't forget, your baby takes more as s/he grows. Mother other night is that if you don'tgetmuch sleep you may feel hungry when really what you needs to rest. Drink lots of water too! Happy nursing!
  • Check out the group Women Eating 2000+ Calories Per Day. Lots of knowledgeable women there, many who have the BMF.
  • LOL, I always say vee-gun. :)
  • I wasn't completely vegan while breast feeding and my daughter has weaned now at age two. Neither of my kids are vegan. My husband is an omni. However, I am honest about my choices and why and suspect both of them will adopt it as time goes by. Even as non-vegans, they consume very little animal products. They are dairy…
