I worked as a Fraud Investigator for a credit union for 5 years. Countless people (insert stupid ) fall for this ****. If you never visited Nigeria-then you didn't win the Nigerian lottery. Simple as that!

you have to hide your food? RIDICULOUS!
-
my biggest concern is that your sister fed your dog food that she thought was bad.
-
best advice! also you are currently only taking ONE rest day and wanting to add some running. I strongly suggest a second rest day, you're over doing it and will certainly burn out quickly and heighten your risk of injury.

I don't understand why people freak out like this. Life happens-handle it! And its HER birthday, she can treat herself if she likes.

I used "shakes" in the beginning, but used it as a learning period as I didn't want to drink a shake for 2 meals a day for the rest of my life. It doesn't seem sustainable and its quite expensive. I learned how to get the right nutrients/macros in real food. Which, IMO is much better.

as stated above you can't spot reduce-a mix of cardio and strength training (doesn't have to be HEAVY) your own body weight provides sufficient resistance .
-
then don't eat-simple as that.
-
it works for me-I can't do solids. Perhaps I should have been more clear.

When this poster commented the OP should stop running and start lifting. Comments to follow indicate that OP is not interested in lifting but was instead asking about fasted running. . Somehow that point was clearly missed. So the difficulty in understanding lies elsewhere.

I run in the morning before eating, I just don't do well with food in my stomach.. Glass of OJ is about all I have. For long runs, anything from 8 miles and on, I use GU chomps for fuel. I have a high protein snack after my run.

here is a great article to read. http://www.runnersworld.com/weight-loss/why-am-i-not-losing-weight?cid=socHE_20140918_31807446 I am now cutting back on my cardio and focusing more on circuit training with weights. I also see that you just joined last month-you need to give it time.

my farthest run to date is 16 miles
