WOW, congrats! :) I played tennis twice over the weekend, both good workouts and ran 3 miles on Saturday. Need to start a program for workouts this week but I'm not sure which program. I definetly work harder and stay focused day to day if I'm following a program.

25 min elliptical followed by lower body strength training. + some random abs and arms strength while watching tv Angie - if that's you skydiving then I'm super jealous!

yesterday: a little over an hour of competitive tennis today: ran/walk intervals for 4.3 miles and upper and core strength. I lost a lot of endurance but improving on speed and had a comparable time to my previous runs on the same route. I'm impressed with your guys' times! Very motivating!

25 min elliptical, 1 mile on the treadmill and core strength. Plus, my son wanted to start running with me so we ran 1/2 mile in the neighborhood, he's and active little guy with good habits but was still rewarding to see him interested in running.

Monday: 1.5 hrs of competitive tennis Today: Ran 15 min on treadmill, 20 minute on arc trainer and upper body strength training.

FYI - the Warrior Dash registration for next year is already open and it's only $30 for the next 9 days, cost goes up by about $10 each month. Marathon, half marathon, 5K and kids run the first weekend of November: www.monumentalmarathon.com Another version of the color run - Indy September 8th at fairgrounds - there have…

For locally orgainzed races I use this site: http://www.tuxbro.com/calendar.html or the indy running site I posted in the other Indy thread This is a good site for indiana triathlons http://www.trifind.com/in.html For the nationally organized races like Warrior Dash, Spartan Race, Color Run, Tap N Run, ect.; I find out…

The warrior dash was awesome! My friends and I had such a good time that we decided we'll do it again next year as soon as we finished. We also decided we'll sign up for the spartan race in April. The warrior dash was hard but not as much running as I expected, we were toward the end of our heat so there were bottlenecks…

I know what you mean, I signed up for a few and then did a double take of how much it had added up to. On top of that, got the e-mail from warrior dash that there is a $20 parking fee! I decided against a few races only because the money is adding up (still better than paying a monthly fee for a weight loss program…

Last night I ran 3 miles on the treadmill followed by 20 min strength training. Feet feel pretty good this morning but they usually are better after the treadmill than after roads. Plan to run outside tonight. Good job on getting closer to your fitness goals, coolhand! Which race are you doing next month?

It was a good trip to Turkey Run, I've been there many times but this was our first time camping there. I also grew up kinda close to there (in IL, not too far from the state line). Came home a day early because of the weather forecast, glad we weren't in a tent with 2 small kids when the storms came through! I did get…

camping with lots of hiking this weekend at Turkey Run - maybe a run or two if it isn't too hot. Have a good weekend everyone.

Last night I played 1 hr tennis, ran 3 miles and biked 20 minutes while watching TV. I thought I had the plantar fasciitis under control the last few days because I had been able to do 2 different 3 mile runs without pain the next day but today is a different story. I guess I need to learn to not do tennis and run in the…

Tennis on Friday - it was the best workout I've had this year and the most fun! Nothing yesterday. Ran/walked 5.5 miles this morning but it was the most frustrating workout I had all year, ran with the stroller and I couldn't run more than 4 minutes at a time. So I ran another 3 miles tonight and pushed my pace but took…

Recovery yesterday - lots of little muscles in pain from tennis! I had planned to run tonight but my feet are really hurting - 20 minutes strength training instead. Tennis again tomorrow (need new tennis shoes). Coolhand, I've also thought about the bridge to 10K. Kinda started working on longer distances on my own but…

I know how you feel, when I took a vacation week at the end of May I also took a vacation from fitness, at that time I was very active so it didn't matter but getting back into the fitness routine has been just as hard as it was in the beginning and I did lose progress with my runs/fitness level (still better than winter…

Ran 4.3 miles tonight, making the total for the week 10.8 - way shy of the 15 mile goal but I wouldn't have ran that much this week if it weren't for this thread. And 4.3 is the furthest I've run at one time so I'm happy with that - pretty slow but I'll work on speed later. Going to try to get to the 15 mile mark again but…

A bit overdue but congratulations on the unassisted pullup! Just checking in to see if the thread is still going, I'll start posting again. My workouts have been sporatic but I think I've got some other things out of the way so that I can make more time for workouts. Ran 3 miles on Saturday followed immediately with…
