I was 120 in high school and I was in a size 7 so that's what I picked

If anything, you should eat more. You cut your calories any more, your body will think it's starving and hold onto every piece of fat it has. Go off your diet for about a week. Don't count your calories. Keep exercising but don't worry about your food intake. You might gain a pound or two but it will reset your metabolism.…

I wonder who wrote those rules. I've seen some really cute clothes at Forever 21 and Deb that if I had the body for them, I would wear them in a heartbeat! Heck, my 21 year old daughter has some cute stuff in her closet. If I lose enough weight, I might just borrow them. Of course, that's gonna take some time. After all,…

THey sell PB@ at the gym I go to. THey have a juice bar there and sell all sorts of stuff. I've been thinking of trying it.

I lift weights with a trainer 3 days a week. My advice...Don't worry about the scale. Go by how you feel and how your clothes are fitting. I only lost 2 pounds during the past 4 weeks and none in the past 2 weeks but when I had my measurements done at the gym the first of the month, I had lost a total of 8.5 inches in one…

I think you look great. I wouldn't worry about it. However if you are bound and deterrmined to trim your waist, there are a number of exercises you can do. You want to look for ones that exercise your obliques. lay on your back, bent knees, lift your shoulders off the floor. hold out your hands in front of you and rock…

if you want to build muscle, you increase weight and lower the number of reps. If you want to tone muscle and burn fat, you increase the number of reps and lower the weight.

I have a friend who is a personal trainer. He told me that I shouldn't drink diet soda. I joked with him that there was no way I was giving up my diet pepsi and he said, "You'd stop if I told you what was in it." That kind of makes me wonder. lol

I'm not quite to 25 yet but close enough. lol I meet with a trainer 3 days a week for 30 min of strength training. I also do 2-3 hours of cardio 3-4 days a week. Usually the strength and the cardio in the same day. I do usually 60 min on the stationary bike, 60 min on the treadmill and then another 30 on either the rowing…

I do both cardio and strength exercises. I meet with a trainer 3 days a week. and do cardio 3-4 days a week. I eat at least 1200 calories a day but I don't eat back my exercise calories. As a result my net calories are typically 500-800. I'm not starving myself. I'm eating. I'm just working as much of it off as I can

Had one 3 days ago. They are expensive but if you can swing it, I'd go for it. Your mouth will thank you for it

I also don't pay much attention to that whole thing that MFP gives you about not eating enough calories and putting your body into "starvation mode". As long as you eat at least 1200 calories, you are not going to go into starvation mode. The biggest thing with starving yourself is that your metabolism drops and you don't…

I try to keep my calories between 1200-1400 a day. The goal MFP set was 1200. I also exercise 2-3 hours about 3-4 days a week. I try not to eat back my exercise calories. In my opinion it defeats the purpose of doing the exercise in the first place. To lose 1 pound you have burn 3500 calories. If you eat back your exercise…

I LOVE OATMEAL!!!!!! Might have to me some for breakfast tomorrow. lol I like Cream of Wheat too

I've been smoking for years and I'd like to quit. I've tried a few times. I tried Chantix once and it did help but I had bad side effects from it. I had vomiting and diarrhea. I am going to quit but not right now. Having a hard enough time watching what I'm eating, I'm gonna lose weight first and then deal with the smoking…

I try to stay between 1200-1400 a day not matter how much exercise I get in that day. I do go over occasionally but I don't fret it because of the exercise and I don't do it often. I don't believe in eating your exercise calories for 2 reasons. One, I think MFP overestimates the burned calorie amounts. Two, if you are…

Well it used to be 168, the weight i was the day before my kids were born but that is no longer the case. When I started on MFP, I was 193. That's the highest I have ever been. I saw a picture taken of me at a bachelorette party and ran out and joined LA Fitness the next day. lol

I don't "save" a lot of calories for dinner but I do exercise for 2-3 hours every afternoon so unless I go nuts at Ben And Jerry's I have quite a few calories left at the end of the day. I like to eat. I love food so I make sure I exercise enough so if I want to I can enjoy my food without guilt. Be careful however. I…

If you don't enjoy the things you like once in a while you'll feel deprived and not stick with it. Just don't do it all the time. Consider it a special treat. Jump back on the horse tomorrow and you'll be fine.

I'm actually 5'5". My goal is 120 lbs. I started at 193 and I'm down to 172 now
-
Losing weight can't be just a diet. It has to be a lifestyle. It has to fit into your normal routine or you'll feel deprived and not stick with it. And worse, you won't keep it off afterwards. Go to the party. Eat the food. Try not to pig out on it but if you do, you do. Try to get in some exercise before you go to burn…

max X 3 sets. Don't focus on the number. Do as many as you can, rest for 1 minute and then do it again. Do 3 sets. Each day try to add 1 more. Make sure your body is aligned. Don't stick your butt up in the air. Your body should be like a a stiff board and in a straight line as you raise and lower.

My back and shoulders. I'm starting to be able to see my shoulder muscles when I work out now and my back has always been strong. I used to swim competitively in high school. Freestyle is great exercise for your upper back. Now I'm a nurse, helping patients out of bed to the bathroom, etc my back gets a workout everytime I…

Well my answer used to be 168 when I was pregnant with my kid but when I got on the scale in October and weighed in at 193, my heart stopped. I've lost 21 pounds so far and I'm gonna keep going till I get back down to 120. That's what I was before I got pregnant. And just so you know, that kid is now 18. lol

not to mention, the slower it comes off the less likely to get stretch marks and have flabby skin. Have you ever seen people who have had gastric bypass? A lot of times they lose weight so fast their skin doesn't have a chance to adjust and recoil and it's real flabby under their arms or their abdominal apron

Usually 5 lbs the first week and then 1-2 a week after that. You usually lose more the first week because it's water weight.

I belong to LA FItness. I don't know if they have one where you live but it is definitely worth it. It's $25 a month after a small registration fee. They have a free kids club so you take your kids. They have a ton of equipment and lots of classes
