I've never heard of Scooby, so I Googled it... WOW, this is very nice, thanks - rubyann125!!

I'm in the same boat, I've been at or slightly above my current weight for several months now- FRUSTRATING! I've noticed that I'm hungrier now also, especially at night. I know that when I first started on this journey, I was hungry... but I was able to acclimate, I'm wondering if the same holds true for us again? Perhaps…

Not being confrontational, just wondering - did you exercise* whilst only eating 1100/day and getting fat (ter)??? *REALLY exercise?

I cleanse by showering daily - my family finds it very helpful! Sorry, couldn't help myself. I also question whether it's of value, I'll keep watching this thread for other opinion, thanks for posing the question.

Since I already carry a smartphone when I run, I decided on using the Zehpyr HxM Bluetooth HRM, which talks very nicely to both fitness apps that I use (Endomondo & SportsTrackLive). I'll confess, I'm a gadget freak, but I find the HRM very useful, & really like it.

^^^ This is a perfect answer!! ^^^

Thank you so much for this most inspirational posting, you've worked miracles. I can attest - it's really great to have your whole family behind, no, WITH you, my beautiful wife and 2 kids are MFP members also, and for me, having "the company" does make a difference! Again, thank you for todays inspiration!!!

I'm pretty much a calories-in/calories-out kind-of-guy, logging vitamins & minerals is a bit... "granular" for me. I do (sometimes) wonder about the calories in my vitamin E, A&D and fish oil, however.
-
I enjoy it also, and had the same reaction as you. It was -15F out there this morning, I'll be utilizing the treadmill or track today, however! There are limits to my enthusiasm!!
-
Yikes, that is a problem! I hope you find a way of dealing with THAT!

Well, this is one of the most male/female polarized threads that I've seen in a while! Our home gym is in the basement, which is half home theatre, half gym. Personally, I'm not comfortable with starting a workout (treadmill or resistance bands only) if someone is already utilizing the home theatre, but I'm OK with-it, if…

While not a headlamp, I bought a pair of "knuckle lights", which I'm happy with. ( http://knucklelights.com/ )

I have a Sole F83 that I bought as "a year-end leftover". I had a Sole F80 that drowned, along with my Sole E35 Elliptical during hurricane Irene (OUCH - That hurt!!!). I actually ordered the F80 again, but I guess they ran out of them, so they upgraded me at their cost. I really like the Sole products, they're quiet,…

My niece gave me this frozen banana grinder gizmo, called a Yonana as a Christmas present. When I opened-up the package, I thought "oh-noooo, what am I going to do with this thing!!"... but it makes a really good frozen snack - quite delicious, actually. The basic recipe calls for frozen bananas only, and that makes a very…

THIS is funny - raspberry acetones!!

I know that this is an old post & you likely already have your answer, but I just started the (Bodylastics/LiveExercise.com) Chiseled DVDs yesterday, I strapped my heart rate monitor on before my workout today, & came away with 234 calories burned during the 30 minute video - so that's what I logged. Hope this helps!

Yep - I gotta tell you, I was ready to cut-off my right hand also, felt like a (dull) drill going right through it - C7/T1 fusion did the trick for me - life is good! L3/L4 disk compression was different, I could only walk for about 15 feet, and I couldn't control the direction that my feet would point, very strange, &…

I've had a fusion of C7/T1 (in 2006), and a laminectomy of L3/4 (in 2009). Before going "under the knife", we tried PT & Chiropractor (withoug too much success). One theme throughout the PT was stretch, don't compress. I would think that you'd want to avoid lifting that would compress your disks... but it's good to hear…

Yep - this, and I add (heated/drained) frozen mixed veggies after cooking it up. Delish & very easy to make!

I use my phone, I downloaded Endomondo, and wear a Zephyr HxM heart rate monitor when I run.

Yeah, the more you push - the more likely he'll resist (if he's anything like myself). Do what you need to do with your weight/health, but keep a lower profile about it, as it will come-off as bragging and looking down on him because he's not on the same path as yourself. Your slimmer body & healthier, happier attitude…

I'm bumping this, because your story sounds identical to mine. I've been at 178Lbs. for months now, & can't seem to lose any farther. This past week has been bad, as-far as eating, but today is the start of a new week, it's time to get back on-track!! ANY thoughts or advice would be gladly & gratefully accepted here!

I drink 3-4 cups of coffee a day, with sweetener (stevia, sugar... whatever) and some sort of creamer. If you remain honest & count it against your daily intake, you'll lose the weight if you stay within your calorie goals. Goop it up if you want, but you gotta log it!

I enjoy my morning cups of coffee, it's a social thing - and it tastes great! I also can go days without coffee and not suffer withdrawals. I also enjoy diet soda & seltzers (flavored and straight-up), again, it's a social thing - and it tastes great. It seems that at the moment - the health pontificators feel that coffee…

It looks like FitBit One will talk to a PC, which would talk to MFP - will you be syncing to a computer? If so, than you souldn't have any problems. I just bought my wife a FitBit Ultra last week as a gift - didn't even know they were "updating"... Grrrr, that never fails!!

could be better!

Try using jog.fm, I use it to find songs for running. I've discovered that I like to run at songs whose tempos are around 156 beats per minute, you can sort by BPM, and sample songs quickly. I think it's great!

This is an opportunity to try healthier things out... experiment! Like her delivery or not, what @msbeeblebrox has to say is valid - changing your lifestyle is hard work, I know that it's a struggle for me every single day. Yep, @msbeeblebrox is my hero for the day, I've been feeling weak-willed today (I've been under the…

What - you don't like sucking on your socks after your workout?? Seriously, they do smell bad, but if you rinse them with clear water, the odor goes right away. I personally like to pan fry them in a little PAM to firm them up, also.
