I'm 31...5'10/5'11...230lbs I'm looking to get to 150-160lbs so I need to loose about 70 pounds I'm a "pet mom" to a 6 year old Shih Tzu...no kids. I love crafts, cooking, and gardening! I used to run 5 days non stop but I sprained my knee twice in 2013. Now I do the run/walk method with running more and walking less. It works for me and I've had no injuries since 2013! I actually run with a local running group so that helps.

Hey! How often do you run or are you just getting into it? I run three times a week..2 short distances during the work week and a long run on Saturdays. I'm training for my first marathon at the end of the year. :)

Welcome back! :) I would do both...cardio and strength. Cardio will help burn the calories which is always a good thing. Strength training will help build muscle! I work out 3 times a week at the gym, and run 3 days a week. Fridays are my only "off" days lol

Where in your knee do you feel discomfort? When I had a trainer he wanted me to get it checked out. I ended up spraining my knee near my meniscus. I use a brace I got at the grocery store when I run or do squats/lunges.
