  • I take 400mg. When you first start taking it, it may make you have the opposite problem. After a day or two everything was normal again though.
  • The reason I ended up trying LC to begin with is because the SO's doctor told him to do Atkins to drop some weight.
  • Usually when that happens to me it is because I have had too much cheese. You could also try a magnesium supplement if you aren't already taking one.
  • I did vodka Saturday night.... I'm thinking it doesn't count because I threw it all up.
  • I prefer MW. But switched to Mayo because of the lower carbs. I usually add a little bit of mustard to give it some zing. Editing to add: You can also put in a little bit of pickle juice to add some zing.
  • I eat veggies most days. I don't get gas often. Sometimes I skip a day or two with no BM then sometimes I go 2 or 3 times in one day. But I rarely feel stopped up. It's just a new kind of normal.
  • Time, patience. Eventually it will start to go down. The belly area can be the most stubborn part for us. Mine still is not where I would like it to be, but I'm working on it. Exercise helps too. But it just takes time and consistency.
  • Well, this is certainly motivation to exercise more. lol. Sunny_Bunny - if you enjoy walking, check out Leslie Sansone walk at home videos. This is one of the least painful exercise videos in my opinion. I alternate those with strength workouts.
  • We occasionally eat recipes made with almond flour and it didn't stop our losses.
  • When I lift, I get hungry. My body just wants more. Make sure you are getting sufficient protein and fat. A chocolate protein shake usually helps fix me up when I have cravings.
  • Hunger is controlled by hormones, it isn't always an indication of whether you are eating enough. You want to also think about body composition, what percent of your body is fat versus other lean body mass. My weight is fine, but I have more fat than I want. I don't necessarily need to lose more weight, but I would like to…
  • Alternately, instead of tweaking calories, you could change the energy balance on the workout side. If you do steady state cardio, add in some HIIT training. Switch up your routine.
  • I went overboard during the Christmas holidays with carbs and sweets. Had all of those after effects, plus came down with a nice yeast infection that was feasting on all the sugar apparently. Just not worth it. "Feeling like carp", is a perfectly fine description...... bloated, grey and nasty, lol.
  • I eat apples all year, usually every day. I eat other berries in season.
  • I find that about 20% carbs is working well for me.
  • Have you tried magnesium supplements? This helps with sleep and a lot of other issues when you are lower carb.
  • Not sure if anyone mentioned this but it takes several weeks to become "adapted" so that your body is burning fat for fuel consistently. And it is possible that you are losing some fat without losing scale weight. So keep at it.
  • My body took some time to adjust before I started dropping steadily. And, steadily for me means that I would have regular losses for a couple of weeks and then seem to stall for a couple of weeks, or even creep up a little before I would go down again.
  • My understanding of it is, since the group is private, the posts won't be set as "public" and wouldn't show in your newsfeed. Only people who are members of the group would see it in their own newsfeed.
  • Can you bring an insulated lunch bag for keeping things cool? If so you would have the option of tuna with mayo, lunch meat / cream cheese roll ups, and things like that.
  • There is a setting on FB that says if your profile is "searchable" or not. Set it to searchable and then after you join the group you can set it back to non-searchable.
  • If you explained it as: "I want to be as healthy as I can be for our child" would he accept that? Weight loss isn't all about appearance. Studies show that average weight gain is 1-2 pounds per year in adults. You are young, but in 5 years, 10 years and more, if you aren't doing something to control your weight, you could…
  • Thanks, Dan! I didn't know Heinz had it, I keep hearing about Braggs and hadn't seen it in my small local store.
  • That is interesting. I did have a bad reaction to the monistat 1. Felt feverish, tired and ill the next morning. Thinking I was dehydrated because I hadn't consumed much water a couple of days before that, I chugged some water and some broth and felt better. Went to work and in the afternoon noticed I had hives all over my…
  • I read about Dr. Terry Wahls. Amazing story.
  • Put a tablespoon in a big glass of water. It reminds me of a light wine spritzer. It's a little weird the first time but not bad and you get used to it. It helps with digestion for one.

  • Drink something salty.... broth..... pickle juice..... something. Also, get some magnesium supplements.
  • I never got around to buying Xylitol but now after reading that it is toxic to dogs, I won't be buying it. He gets people food sometimes and I am not there every minute to tell people they can't feed him this or that.
  • First, I read the title of this thread as "saving cats", so I guess I have seen too much animal rescue stuff on FB this morning. lol. But, I drink vodka and diet coke, and only have a few, and not every weekend, so I don't worry too much about saving calories for it.
