I feel less sluggish than when I was eating more carbs, but not more motivated to work out. Unfortunately. lol.

I don't know that you will find anything with the same texture as regular flour, so he might have to suck it up or not eat it. lol.

I'm not a fan of iced coffee. I just drink a couple of cups hot in the morning, and can't stomach black.

There are recipes for low carb breads you can make. The key to not being hungry is having sufficient fat intake. I used to be always hungry, and I had super blood sugar crashes if I didn't eat very regularly. Now I am rarely hungry and I don't crash like I used to. After a few weeks, if your fat intake is sufficient, that…

Almond Milk does NOT work as a coffee creamer. Blech. But Reddi-Whip does with the bonus that you don't have to add sweetener. lol. There is a "loaded potato" recipe with cauliflower that is fantastic. I'm not wild about cauliflower but I love this and have served it to other people who don't like cauliflower and they…

Hahaha, yeah I remember that.

I had outpatient surgery years ago when I was not on LCHF and I was nauseous, they had to keep me a lot longer than most people before I could go home because I was so sick. So you are telling me if I have to do that now on LC it will be even worse? Let's hope I never need it....

Yep I get the stinky pee too whenever I have changed my carb level. It will go away. Agree with everyone who said boost your electrolytes. That should take care of the symptoms of keto flu and then you will just feel normal PMS blahs.

^^ Awesome! Welcome!

Try cutting back a little on the cheese and supplement the magnesium.

I started because my significant other was advised by his doctor to do Atkins. I figured I would be eating lower carb to help him along, but didn't plan to eat as low as he was. My initial goal was to try to be at or under 100 grams carbs. When I got started, I realized after a couple of days that I felt really good eating…

Yeah, totally not linear, especially when closer to goal weight. I started in May and I would lose a couple of pounds and then bounce up/down for awhile. Then I would lose a couple more and then bounce up and down for weeks more. Over that time I have lost 23 pounds, but never has it just consistently gone down every week.
-
I don't know what is typical, and I see you already listed all the possible variables so I won't repeat them, lol. Started in the middle of May, I have lost 23 pounds but not into a lower clothing size, I'm near goal weight. My guy lost 55 pounds in that same time frame, and he went from size 42 pants to size 36. I think…

I will eat smaller amounts of rice and potatoes. I don't cook them for myself, it is either when I go out or when I eat at my mom's. So, about twice a week. I avoid bread and pasta. Bread tends to really bind up my digestion and I'm usually sorry I ate it, pizza especially. I do eat a lot of veggies, weekdays I eat a big…

Yep ^^ it's a difference in the water content.

Awesome! Hopefully he will quickly start feeling better and that too will motivate him to stick with it. My SO noticed he had a lot more energy (and he has dropped 55 pounds and 3 pants sizes).

It definitely works.

Awesome!! I hope that she continues to improve, and so glad that the changes she made are helping.

Weekdays I get a big salad with grilled chicken. Or if for some reason I can't get away from my office, I have a protein shake and some nuts. On weekends I usually have a late breakfast so don't have a real "lunch" meal.

I used to be very regular at 28 days. Then when I was about 45 or so I would go several months with 21 day cycles, then 30 or 31 days and then anywhere in between. Then it leveled off again to being pretty regular for several years. Then when I was like 50 it was sometimes 6 weeks in between. Then I started skipping…

I started eating lower carb because my significant other was ordered by his doctor to do Atkins. Surprisingly, most of my menopausal symptoms disappeared or were greatly lessened. This was back in May. A happy side effect is I also lost 22 pounds so far. One thing I have read is that we become more insulin resistant and…

Oh, and a lot of people who disappeared sometimes pop back up around January.
-
Depends on you. People have different calorie needs depending on size, age, gender, etc.
-
Depends on who they are. If I haven't had much interaction with them and they disappear then I will delete them after awhile. If I had a lot of interaction and like(d) them then I keep in case they come back.

This is the best group anywhere for support, you have come to the right place. Push through it, the results are so worth it! I drink bouillon for the sodium. A few other people here eat pickles for the sodium. While I didn't have a drinking problem, I do find that when I do drink now, I drink a lot less. Just because I'm a…

I did when I started, but I don't anymore. I typically eat the same things most every day, and I don't stress if I occasionally have a day that is different.
-
I don't measure, and it depends on what I am eating that day. Sometimes I cook eggs in it (if I'm not having bacon, when I use the bacon grease). I put it on hot veggies. I cook shrimp in it.

I started eating low carb because it makes me feel better. After a month or so I stopped counting calories because once I settled into a routine with eating I was seeing that most of the time I was under my calorie goal. I have lost 22 pounds. What I normally eat: Breakfast: A protein shake, or bacon & eggs Lunch: A salad…
