  • And a quick FYI...the ketogenic diet is where the use of ketosis was actually designed and promoted through diet,,,it was found to help control seizures in children with seizures disorders. I have always found it uncomfortable to see any diet promoting something that was traditionally started under the supervision of a…

  • And I thought I liked my creamer with a little coffee..agreed. My morning big cup of coffee is a non issue, not gonna give it up and my family wouldn't want me to, believe me. I will walk an extra mile before the coffee goes away. Sometimes I have done non fat powdered milk with some sugar, that can help decrease…

  • Ok, since this thread was helpfull in finding the original set of missing blue pillowcases, has anyone seen my nice off white flowered pillowcases? I have already blamed the spousal unit...he is denying any involvement...
  • Mild fish may be your best bet if you don't like "fishy" flavor, salmon is good and great for you but may be too strong a flavor. I also dislike strongly flavored fish, but have found salmon marinated and grilled is very yummy. I keep Tilapia and some other white fish, like cod, snapper, roughy around. We ususally will pan…
  • I add 1/2 cup skim milk and a dash of vanilla after cooking and then either pumpkin pie spice with a TBSP dark brown sugar and some banana or a TBSP home made peanut butter and a TBSP of milk chocolate chips.
  • You know its done when a leaf will pull easily from the artichoke, I think about 25-30 min depending on how big the artichokes are. You can throw some lemon in with the steaming liquid too, will give the artichoke a nice lemony scent and taste.
  • No, actually,,,,that does not make me feel any better. I still have crappy beer...:grumble:
  • Ok, so keep rubbing it in why don't you...I have NO brewpubs, crappy or otherwise:grumble: :grumble: :grumble: I'm a beer snob too, and Bud Light from the Super Walmart ain't gonna cut it!
  • Good attitude :flowerforyou: Something tells me with the number of pounds you have burned up, you know what your body needs. I'm just jealous you have a Brew Pub nearby:grumble:
  • Hmmm, that pizza sounds tempting..and I happen to have all the basic ingredients in the fridge...Have you run the numbers on it yet, how many cals etc. I know it would vary based on what you put on it, but curious to see what you get. I may have to try this tomorrow!
  • umm, not sure, my crock pot really has only a low setting. It is a 3 in 1 multicooker, and doesn't have traditional low/high setting. On high, maybe 1-2 hours? I'd check after an hour or so, but your onions might not be cooked all the way, maybe try 2 hours as a number to shoot for. Not so much help, sorry!
  • ok, update. Made this for dinner last night and flavor was good, but don't cook it the full 5-6 hours. The rice turned into mush..I would do maybe 2-3 hours, then check. I was pretty easy to put together, and tasted like a quick and easy jambalaya in a way. :flowerforyou:
  • Me too, Me too!! Bfast this am: Peanut butter and 1/2 banana on a frozen waffle, drizzled with about 1/2 tsp of honey. Whole bfast plus coffee and juice 300something calories. For the natural PB, try nuking it for 20 seconds or so before mixing, it helps. But....the kind you make yourself requires NO mixing prior to…
  • I have found any sports bra with a cup size is better, even the "high impact" bras don't really support things, just smoosh everything together so you get a uniboob. Never would have though underwire would help in a sports bra, but it does. I am a D on one side and a DD on the other , yay childbirth!!!, and getting a D…
  • No challenge whatsoever! Making my own PB for a while now, follow the same recipe as tig3rang3l previous post, except I add a bit of honey and cinnamom to mine. Yummy! All you need is a food processor and you will have pb in about 5 min. Literally dump it in, grind up, done. Try it!
  • Tag..have to try this, I love my crockpot!
  • Thats true! But I can't have sweet potato without wanting butter and maybe even a bit of brown sugar on it, broiled for a min to make it almost crunchy on top....sorry, I'm drooling.... I have had the baked potato plus chili on it from wendys a time of two, don't remember the numbers off hand but it was pretty decent and…
  • Nothing wrong with potatoes, enjoy them. Sounds like a good lunch to me!
  • To make the hijack complete... In a review of these trials it was again concluded that chromium supplements had no effect on healthy people, but that there might be an improvement in glucose metabolism in diabetics, although the authors stated that the evidence for this effect remains weak.[11] However, opinions differ on…
  • I might have to take Rosie off once, to put someone else on......ok, maybe not. I know most of this thread is in jest, but seriously, I might have to deck her if I saw her. She has got to be one of the worst examples of a celebrity thinking because more than 2 people on the planet know her, I am supposed to give a rats…
  • I wore my heart rate monitor for kicks when doing Wii boxing once, I had to see what the calories burned were when I could feel my heart rate going up. It actually does burn a good chunk of calories, and I don't think you could rely on just gaming for your fitness routine, but hey, if it burns those calories - why not! I…
  • Second that!
  • I told my sister she needed to work in a bribe to get her OB to take some skin and fat out with the last baby, I mean, they are already in there, what's it gonna hurt? Stretch marks aren't really a problem for me, I have some, but I am fair skinned and they are in spots that no one really can see, so I need some…
  • There is a sexy hot mama look, big ugly black band around my chest with a big Timex symbol directly between the girls ... I agree, if you are thinking about calories burned during that,,,ahem....activity, you are thinking too much! Though, if I infomed hubby that sex was a new form of exercise and I needed to "work…

  • Didn't see this part answered....High levels of estrogen causes the increase of cells in the breast and uterus, including cancerous cells, so high levels of estrogen can lead to rapid growth of cancerous cells. So anyone with a history of breast cancer would be advised to limit any foods that have high levels of…
  • Well bless you, kind woman, for saying that. I don't know why 35 is a bigger deal to me than 30 through 34, but I think 35 years old and how the hell did THAT happen??? Glad to know I am not alone, knew I wasn't, but still nice to hear. I know there isin't a miracle cure, and would gladly have 10 mommy tummy's for my sweet…
  • Ok, any ladies out there found any exercise, creams, oils etc that have helped you with shrinking the mommy tummy - short of surgery? I am almost to my goal weight, about 3 more pounds to go, and loving seeing the definition in the arms, shoulders, back and legs again - the only part of my body I am NOT happy with is the…
  • For me what helped was diet on track - watching overall calories, plus cardio, cardio and a little bit more cardio thrown in for good measure. 6 1/2" off the hips in a bit over 3 months, but I have been doing a solid 45 min cardio average 7 days a week. Still working on the tummy:grumble:
