No offense to you, your hubby, or your marriage, but this sounds incredibly unfair, selfish, and manipulative. I say stand up for yourself and make your goals a priority. If you don't, who will? It is 2010 and any grown man should be able to reheat a dinner you preped on Sunday, scoop something out of the crockpot, heat up…

What about leftovers from your dinner the night before? I know he can't heat it up, but I do this many days at work and never use a microwave. I only have 20 minutes for lunch (I'm a teacher) and the line for the microwave is always super long. I discovered that if I pack leftovers in tupperware or something similar and…

Do you want something you make yourself at home or something you can grab at a restaurant? If at home: Canned tuna with avocado (to replace mayo-so yummy), tomatoes, and a pinch of salt. All mixed together. It makes a gross color if you mix it too much but is delicious and healthy. If going out: Chick-fil-A fruit and…

Hooray for you! And you're so brave to be sharing over the radio like that! I hope see a number 1 someday!

Wow! That is awesome progress! Way to go!

I suggest going to a store that specializes in running/walking shoes where they can "custom" fit you. They'll measure your stride, assess your problems and help you find solutions. You won't be able to get the shoes cheap, but it will be worth it. I have an ankle and a knee issue, and once I got properly fitted for shoes,…

I LOVE your ticker, BTW! I have found that the only thing that helps me control my cravings is to eat lots of lean protein, good fats (nuts, olive, avocado-watch portions), and avoid fake sugars. Any time I have diet soda, sugar free pudding, Crystal Light, etc, I feel like I would sell my mother for something to eat.

Awww, thanks guys! I signed a 6 month contract for 3 times a week, Now I have to go and get it done, because I CANNOT waste all of that cash! Plus, I think I'll eat better long term since I won't want to wreck all of my hard work at the gym. Why did God make it so easy to inhale thousands of calories, but you have to work…

Hi Ladies! I just did my second day. It was a little easier. I also worked out with a trainer this morning. I probably won't be able to move tomorrow! Glad everyone is working through it! I hate those side lunges too....they kill my knee. May have to find a modification for that one. I also detest the jumping jacks!…

Tosca Reno's books and Jillian Michael's Master Your Metabolism are both great resources on whole, clean eating. When I cut out processed foods (no fake sugars, colors, preservatives, white carbs. boxed meals, etc), I feel so much better, and the cravings go away!

If they don't ripen up and get sweeter you can always make them into a smoothie with greek yogurt, ice, and honey!

This was the best BK I've had in a long time: 2 eggs scrambled with fresh salsa and 1 link of Whole foods chicken sausage crumbled up in it 1 banana 390 calories but sooo filling and yummy!

Grilled NY Strip(with a bit of Montreal Grillmates), roasted brussel sprouts, and baby spring mix salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, bell pepper, and carrots. Never roasted brussel sprouts before....We'll see....

The Wii Just Dance game is awesome! So much fun, and I don't feel like I am working out! As for the sports bras, I love Lane Bryant's. They're not cheap, but they work well! Have fun treating yourself!

Just finished the first workout. It was tons of fun. I modified many of the moves due to my bad knees and many, many extra pounds. I got a good sweat going! Good luck to all!

OK, I just finished my first day....it was tough. I am carrying around A LOT of extra weight, and I have knee issues, so I modified many of the moves. I still worked up a sweat! It was tons of fun! Best of luck to everyone!

I am in too! There's another 30 Day Shred starting on July 5 thread too. I joined both. Maybe we can merge the two? Anyway, I need to go take my measurements...may have to go buy a new thingy...I have no idea where mine is. I probably threw it away in anger.... Can't wait!

I'm in! I just got Jillian's DVD 4 pack and was planning to start with the shred! Whoo hoo!

No....Should I? I don't think I am allergic to anything. I think I was lactose intollerant, because when I gave up dairy, all my digestive issues went away. (That's just my own diagnosis, not a DR's.) My husband has major food allergies, and I've never had symptoms like his before, so I never thought that was a possibility.
-
OK, I just had to give an update....TOM came this morning, so I am hopping that is the reason for my stall! I can't believe I forgot about that possibility. And yes, I do have a food scale (digital) and use it often. I haven't taken my measurements personally, but I did get them taken two weeks ago by a professional. (For…

Thanks for everyone's help and advice. Here are some answers/more info to points you all brought up: *I am not eating dairy because my friend who has been eating Paleo for almost a year now has lost mega pounds (like over 100) and can now run marathons...literally. I gave up all processed foods including wheat, rice, etc…

Dang, and I was just about to give up my membership at the fancy gym with a pool for a more basic, cheaper gym!

This is a great question and so important! Here are some suggestions: Almonds Trail Mix (be careful of the portions...you can add a little bit of dark chocolate!) String cheese (easily portable) Make a big pot of a healthy soup or a big batch of some other healthy meal and eat on it throughout the week. (Invest in…

I used to have major bubble guts. But then I cut out dairy almost 4 weeks ago, and now all my tummy issues are gone. Maybe you can try that?

Anything to do with Twilight is a good reason to celebrate! Jasper is really hot in this one. There is this one scene with him and Alice...Oh my. We will be going to see it again this weekend on Imax. I didn't get popcorn at the midnight showing, but I will on Saturday! What would be a life without occasional treats?
-
I just looked it up. The cheese, olive oil, and crutons are part of the 770. This salad is YUMMY but can be a diet disaster if you don't budget for it!
-
You can get it done at a GNC. At least the ones in the ATL area, so I would think others would too? You can also buy scales that tell your body fat %. I guess they're accurate....I hope so because I use a Tanita one!

I agree with everyone that says they count them. Plus, if you're tracking things like sugar, carbs, fiber, or certain vitamins, you definitely want to include them in your diary. It's about more than just calories! Plus, I like to look back and see if I met my daily 5 each day!
