  • As of January 24 I will have been living a new lifestyle for five months. I am down 47lbs as of last Monday, so by my five month mark I expect to be at 49lbs. Depending on how much you have to lose, it is possible to safely lose 50lbs in 5 months. However, you say that you are willing to do anything. You need to have the…
  • Nice post Silvia! Very informative. I'm so glad to have you as my friend here on MFP. You always have kind, supportive words to say. Keep your good info coming. We all can use it :)
  • The Broncos/Bears game is killing me. Really? Up 10-0 in 4th quarter and now the Bears are blowing it. No good :(
  • This is something I have been dealing with. Most of my family is amazing, but I have some good friends whom have been negative (sometimes I think unknowingly). The other day it was my sis-in-laws bday and my boss kept trying to get me to have just one piece of cake. I said I already had one bad meal this week, so I don't…
  • My goal is a 9. When I was at my goal weight years ago that was the size I wore and I honestly couldn't have gotten too much smaller or I would have looked terrible. I think alot of it has to do with how your body is built. Some people have larger frames and could never be a 4 or 6.
  • I have been using it for breakfast for the last three months. I don't know how much it has to do with my weight loss, but it makes me get something in my body for breakfast, it keeps me full, tastes amazing and is full of vitamins and minerals. When it comes down to it, if you want to try it great. Go for it. But, you…
  • You look absolutely amazing! Keep up the hard work. The results are so very inspiring.
  • Glad you asked because I've been wondering the same thing. It's nice to see how far you've come when you comment on message boards.
  • Absolutely! I'm down 34, but have 49 more to go, so count me in.
  • That sounds great! I've only been on here for a week, but it has been so motivational. I'm finding I'm on here more than facebook now, but that would give me another group of supportive friends.
  • Oh that is so wonderful. Pretty motivational :)
  • I want to log, but at the same time I agree how do you know what's in all the food you didn't make? Thankfully, I usually just eat turkey and mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving and avoid everything else just because I'm not a big fan of the other food. So I'm thinking I should be just fine :)
  • Congratulations on deciding to make your lifestyle change. I'm new to this site too, so feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like some support. In the last week I've found so many wonderful, supportive people on her, so you found the right place to come to start your journey :)
  • Welcome and good luck on your journey! Feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like more support.
  • Good luck! If you need any extra support feel free to add me as a friend. All of the support in this site is extremely motivating!!!
  • Same here. Some people are so unhappy with themselves that they have to put down others in order to feel good. That is my personal opinion. Just keep at your new healthy lifestyle and ignore the terrible words. You are doing something to better yourself and deserve to be congratulated. Good luck!!!
  • Great job! Keep it up. You can do it! I just found this site a week ago, but have been so impressed with the level of support everyone is giving each other. Have logged in every day and won't stop. It keeps me accountable for what I'm eating and gives me the extra encouraging words I need to keep going.
  • I hear you sister! I'm a diet coke fanatic. Have cut it out of my diet in the past, but I figure if I'm eating healthy, exercising and getting plenty of water than a diet coke or two a day won't kill me.
  • I know what it's like to feel terrible about your body. To avoid cameras and mirrors because you don't want to see yourself. Alot of people on this site do. I also know what depression feels like. I've suffered with it since grade school. I am so much better now, but depression doesn't just disappear. I have been on a…
  • What a wonderful idea. I have four little siblings who suffer from physical, emotional and developmental issues, so anytime someone is out there trying to raise money and awareness for a medical issue I have great respect for them. And in the end not only will you be helping a great cause, but be a much healthier and…
  • I also have been using the Visalus Body by Vi shakes. Tastes delicious, makes me get some nutrition for breakfast and keeps me full until lunch.
  • Ohhhh and the key word is meal. I don't do a cheat day. Just one meal :)
  • I give myself a cheat meal once a week. If I don't I'm worried that I will end up binging on bad food because I'm ignoring the cravings. As for it affecting me negatively. Absolutely not! I am down 32lbs in two and a half months. Just be sure you don't overdo it and get right back to your healthy lifestyle.
