Back in my 20's I had to take a heavy steroid therapy rotation b/c of an intrauterine infection. I also gained weight. It wasn't pretty, and it wasn't easy to take off either.

I only eat about 25-35% of my food raw at this point, but I do raw snack/ meal bars, live fresh juice, and raw peach pie. I am very interested in increasing that amount.

This. I was married at 19 and divorced by 26. It was rough and I've endured many snide comments, but getting out of that marriage was the best thing I ever did.

Hummus (even flavored) is super economical and easy to make yourself. I eat it with veggies, with thick warm pita bread, on black bean chips, rice crackers, spelt cakes, Wasa crackers (it's really a flat bread), with avocado, onion, and tomato on toasted rice cakes (trust me, toasting rice cakes actually makes them good.…

I make steel cut oats. I toss them into in fresh apple juice instead of water, add a diced apple, some maple extract, pumpkin pie spice, flax and dates. Simmer 25 minutes. Very filling and tastes like apple pie. I also like to blend coconut milk, espresso, cocoa powder, protein powder, and ice for a great smoothie.

I eat a lot of whole grains (steel cut oats, quinoa etc) and fresh fruit and veggies and I am losing. Fruit (as long as it isn't canned) is good for your body.

Peppermint Body Butter: 4 c. coconut oil 1 TBSP peppermint extract Whisk together, pour into candy molds and let harden. Place into refrigerator if needed. I recommend using round or swirled candy molds, very simple with no hard edges. Coconut oil is solid under 75 degrees Fahrenheit. I generally refrigerate the molds, pop…

Would you mind posting the recipe? What temp did you set the oven at?

Mediterranean, middle eastern, and Italian diets all incorporate this. It is not a diet fad or over complicating anything. I'm guessing it was simply used as a way to highlight one way other cultures incorporate healthy habits into meals, and it does help satiate someone who is eating a salad or low density meal. I don't…

you don't soak the bread in oil. You use dense, crusty, whole grain bread. Whisk extra virgin olive oil with crushed red pepper, basil, and balsamic vinegar then quickly dip the bread in and take a bite.

If you're referring to whole grain bread dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar before a meal, this is not a new thing. Olive oil, while calorie dense, is rich in vitamins E, K, and A as well as polyphenols, squalene, oleocanthol, triterpenes and oleic acid (omega 9), and helps satiate you, therefore you eat less. It is…

I have 4 children aged 20 down to 19 months. I am a FIRM believer the more a baby is held and spoken to and cuddled, the more they thrive. Swaddling is excellent. As young as your daughter is, being put in the crib could scare her. Bassinets are small enclosures, cribs are openly huge in comparison. Yahoo published an…

I second that sentiment *sigh*.

My husband is 11 months younger than I am and when we met I thought he was much younger, so much so I almost refused to date him. We've been together going on 6 years.

I would want to be a hotter version of myself, and run into my ex.

If you're satiating your sweet tooth with fruit I don't see that as a problem. I eat a LOT of fresh fruit and am losing.

Mix your tuna with balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, cracked black pepper, dill rosemary, and a little sage. Add sliced green onions, torn fresh basil. Place in a whole wheat pita with fresh spinach and roma tomato slices.

Swimming is low impact and works all your muscles at once. The amount of calories you burn will depend on your size and how fast you go.

I can see a difference! Enjoy your first goal, you deserve it! :D

I was in the same boat with my last pregnancy. Between a high risk OB and a certified personal trainer this is what I was told (you should still consult your own dr): limit your sodium, pop, and tea. Drink plenty of water. Put your feet up 3 times a day for 25 minutes each time. Walk for 5-10 minutes 3 times a day, until…

Sweet potato wedges are excellent with chili powder and lime. I also like them with ginger, cinnamon, and brown sugar.

I have discovered that if I have a Coco Loco smoothie in the morning, I have zero cravings. It's very simple: 1 Tbsp cocoa powder, 1 cup cold coffee, 1/4 c coconut milk, 1 tsp cinnamon and ice. Blend.

Done!

I crave both, and both trigger me to overeat.

It depends on what line of work you're in. In a professional setting, it absolutely has an impact. All of mine are coverable. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom, but I worked in the corporate world for many years and no one knew I had tattoos because I always wore suits. You'd be surprised how many medical professionals,…

I currently have 5 (one is a cover up that I drew) with a full sleeve in the planning stage. I also eventually want a back piece. My husband and I are planning matching tattoos for our anniversary this year. I also have 6 piercings, but I go through cycles with them. I will get bored and take them all out, then a year or…
