  • put on a groovy song (l like You never can tell by Chuck Berry) see if you can do the twist to the whole song without stopping....you have to really go for it and look like a loon but its gauranteed to cheer you up! :happy: great work by the way!!
  • oh and as Jaytee79 says i also put on my work out gear as soon as i get home from work, firstly because it reminds me that i cant just slob out and i have to do my workout after kids are asleep but i find it also makes me run after the kids more and we play more active games than if i stay in work gear!
  • It is super hard fitting everything around husbands and kids and im definitely not perfect and as my diary will show fall into the trap of eating the kids party foods…but most of the time I try and do something like this.. I have 3 boys, work 4 days a week and have a husband who gets home at the kids bedtime so it a busy…
  • also when i log a peice of chocolate cake it has a heck of a lot more cals than my protein bars so maybe look at getting a lower cal bar as a snack?

  • He could try starting with some straight leg deadlights (you can look on YouTube) which require less coordination, also he can do some bench press…push ups / chin ups and pull ups will be great body weight exercises that he can start doing as well with no worries about coordination - good luck!
  • Its almost impossible not to treat people differently based on the way they look and make assumptions…if someone is rocking a super fit, toned body (not overweight but not underweight either) you can assume that they are working dam hard for that body so must have a certain amount of self discipline and motivation to eat…

  • you can add strength training under Cardio exercise to get MFP to give you some cals...not many though unfortunetly! i always wear my HRM doing the weights to get a more acurate number :happy:
  • Thank you so much - i guess its just scary since trying to loose weight to enter a number into MFP that MFP says i need to be on to GAIN weight! am going to be brave and take the plunge though...just looked at the book and recalculated so from today will be on 1650 for a 300cal deficit on non workout days - scarey stuff!!

  • make as many healthy choices each day as you can, cut out rubbish food when you can and move/exercise when you get the time! but have patience and take it slowly and be kind to your body after everything its just been through :) and remember if your breast feeding not to cut your cals too much! good luck :smile:

  • I’m currently at 24% BF and 129lb, - pre kids I was at 17% BF and 120lb but that was such hard work to maintain so now am thinking somewhere between then and now :happy:
  • hey im 5'4" and am at 128lb - my goals are set to 1350 a day and i eat back exercise cals, dont seem to be moving on the scale for the last few weeks though so am not much help as now i cant decide weather i should up my cals or lower them :ohwell:

  • If your someone who likes measuring your success and think you will miss seeing the weight change on the scale you could you find someone (a local trainer at a gym?) or do it yourself, who will measure your body fat %? That way you can stay at the same weight but still get that sense of achievement from seeing the numbers…

  • I have a really sweet tooth as well and would hate to never eat anything sweet, if it fits inside your calories why not? Saying that I try and modify my sweet things like having dark chocolate coated goji berries or caramel flavoured rice cakes instead of eating huge chocolate bars…but then again I never have enough…

  • i get up at 5am for work each morning and am starving before i even open my eyes! LOVE breakfast - yum! but that is me eating when im hungry...but i do try and not go longer that 3 hours during the day without having at least soemthing small to keep my energy up
