I do this everyday. When I stumble out of bed, I turn on the hot water tap and squeeze 1/4 of a lemon into a glass. I just drink it tap hot. I found that when I used lemon juice (from a bottle) it gave me heartburn. I think using a real lemon actually helps to combat heartburn, and I'm pretty sure it's helped bring down my…

Perhaps I should have some lasers installed in the eyes of this giraffe before the zombie apocolypse so I'll be prepared when it really does happen! LOL

I nap at least once/day. Usually after lunch at my desk, and the whole office knows it. They leave me alone... haha. I fall asleep in about 30-45 seconds, and then only need 10-15 minutes and I'm fully recharged!

I am drinking Acai White tea right now... I will probably have several cups of tea today, trying to get my water in. It just isn't inviting to drink alot of cold water when it's -40C outside.

This feels like a great way to return to yoga. I am in dire need of the calming and balancing that comes with regular yoga practice. Thank you for starting this group. Namaste.

I made turkey soup last night... Finally! Used the turkey carcass from Christmas. It was perfect and exactly what we all needed in this weather! I'd love to see some more soup recipes. Does anybody have a good butternut squash recipe?

Agreed... that is a really well written, light, funny series to read. I actually laugh out loud too!

My 13 year old son introduced me to these books, and I loved them!! I concur, best young adult books written in ages.

I have read most of, and have a collection of Stephen King books. I think he's a phenomenal writer. However, I have been reading "It" for 15 years. Scares the hell out of me. I take it out every 6 months or so and read a few pages, and then I have to hide it again. In the very back of my bathing suit/vacation wear drawer…

I use the 5K Runner too. I like that you can play your music in the background, and still hear the guy tell you when to run and walk. So far so good, I haven't noticed any "quirks"...

Clearly you aren't alone in the over 200 Club. My highest weight was 261, and I joined MFP at 252. I can hardly wait to see my little ticker start inching to the right! LOL You can all add me as well. :)

Hi Everybody! Starting weight on 01/02/12 251.1 Goal is to lose 10 lbs. by February! I'm confident that this is attainable. I gained 3 lbs. in 3 weeks over the holidays :( so it's pretty clear that I can't stop paying attention, even a little bit. I was all the booze and sugar I would assume... Good luck everyone!
-
I'm ready!! Let's do this! Feeling like a slacker after the holidays, and ready to re-commit!

We have snow in Calgary, AB, Canada... but it has started to melt today, and it's supposed to be about zero all weekend. Maybe we'll get some more next week! **fingers crossed**

I love Rodney Yee yoga DVD's! There are so many different videos of varying degrees of difficulty, and length. He is very good at describing the pose, and where you should feel the stretch. He also has a very soothing and comfortable voice. The videos are put out by Gaiam, and I always buy them on Amazon. Good Luck!

While we're putting it out there, the you're in "you're welcome" is a compound word. Just sayin'....
