I do take one (or maybe two) days off from working out to allow muscle recovery. I also allow myself one cheat meal a week, but , I don't do it on the same day I take off from the gym and i still try to log everything. Seeing the caloric result of my choices on cheat days helps me make better choices on my non-cheat days.

It really took up until I reached the 20lb mark that I realized I actually felt different... but most of what I feel now on a regular basis is changes in muscle from strength training.

I've been using a Fitbit Flex for about a month now and I really like it. I'm sure its not 100% accurate, as far as strength training especially, but I'm fairly active at work and I do cardio/strength training in a gym so I use it to get a general idea of how my day looks.

I actually just went through this in the last month. Personally, between the healing pain & painkillers, I didnt feel like doing much for a few days. I had mine out on a Thursday and I stayed out of the gym until Tuesday. Tuesday I just walked on the treadmill and Wednesday I used the elliptical. I started back strength…
