  • I have been doing dailyburn for past week and really like it. It does have a section that teaches you how to make smarter eating decisions and they really are trying to sell their protein powder and vitamins. However, the workout videos are really worth it. There are 9 programs you can work through. I did a 90s hip hop…
  • I have been doing Dailyburn.com for almost a week now and absolutely love it...They have 9 different programs. Not just the Inferno! I did a 90s hip hop that was almost an hour and I burned almost 900 calories. It really took me back.
  • I have been having a similar issue. Two weeks ago I gained 4 lbs out of the blue. Since then I haven't been able to loose the extra weight. So this morning I decided to pull out the measuring tape again. Altough I haven't lost any lbs in the past three weeks, my waistline is an inch and a half smaller. I knew the scale had…
  • I am going through the same thing myself right now. The only difference is I see a major difference when I measure. I have lost an inch and a half in my waist in the past week but am gaining an avg of 1 lb a week. What I tell myself is I have lost 2 lbs of fat and gained 3 lbs of muscle. I am hoping that I will start…
  • You can customize the % carbs, protein, and fat under goals. It really depends on what works best for you. The most important thing is staying under calories.
  • LOL, I just love it all. If it makes me sore I want double. LOL
  • the website is www.twohundredsquats.com. This gives you the complete plan. Honestly, if you can do that many in your intial test, you may need a tougher program. I guess you could kinda tweek what they already have going and push for 400 squats. I am impressed. I wish I could do that many :)
  • Well. I am the friend that started with her. So I thought I would post. IM IN and my legs are SORE today :)
  • I have been drinking a glass of milk everytime I exercise. It is a great way to replenish your body with some protein. However, I use 2% organic milk. It is a little higher on the calories but still has all the vitamins of whole milk plus omega-3 and no hormones are used. My advice would be if your craving it, eat it, just…

  • I like that name. It is very unique. One thing her in America we try to pick unusual names sometimes. My suggestion would be to have him call her Lily if he doesn't like it. That is American and can have the best of both :)
  • Thank you all for your advice My body is feeling it so I must have worked harder then I thought. We only did 6 miles but I was rowing the whole time. Guess I won't worry to much about it. :) Ohh and yes I am really 31. I get that alot.
  • I have noticed it in my face and waist first also. I also noticed a change in my legs but they are getting bigger so I am hoping its just muscle forming :)
  • Here is a great soup but watch the sodium in what you buy. It will make your mouth water for days afterwards http://picky-palate.com/2010/03/18/green-chili-chicken-and-lime-soup/ I also like eatingwell.com for other meal ideas.
  • No, If you go over on anything protein is the best to go over on. However, protein is what builds muscle mass.

  • If you don't feel up to running then do a brisk walk. That is what I do. I don't hae the endurance to handle running but each time I walk I try to take the pace up a bit more. One day I will be running the whole three miles I walk now :)

  • I was told by a doctor once that ied tea counts as water. I was dehydrated because i didnt like the water where I lived. OMG it was bad. When I had kids I was worried about how much water they were getting, another doctor told me not to worry they were getting their water from the juice and milk they were drinking. So I…
  • She has access to a juicer. She could come over to my house every few days and make her some juice to sip on. I am thinking about doing that myself because I don't like veggies for the most part. I have learned I can sneak a few in a smoothie and never taste it. Ohh daisy yes onions and bell peppers count as a veggie, as…
  • I don't pay much attention to sugar intake because I normally get it from fruits. The biggest worry would be refined sugars. If you get alot of that you might want to control it more.
  • I have seen people doing this at my Y. Its hard to tell you what you burn doing stuf like that. Everyone's body is different and in different levels of fitness. Best way is to get a HRM that could at least estimate what your burning. I got one at walmart for less than $30. I will tell you I just did Billy Blank's Bootcamp…
  • I now when I do Yoga my heart rate doesn't increase enough for me to log it. I may burn 30 calories more an hour cause my heart rate hits 50% max.
  • Technically, this is my first attempt. When I was younger my mom was on some calorie/fat counting drinking 32 oz of water within 30 minutes. So was kinda put on one then. I think I was 16 so I could feed myself if I didn't like what she cooked
  • http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/10589-for-those-confused-or-questioning-eating-your-exercise-calo That thread discusses why we need to eat those calories. Basically, MFP already calculates the calories to a deficit to loose weight. When we exercise we need to consume more calories to maintain that same deficit.
  • Ohh another note. Rice, I meant brown rice. I dont eat any other rice :) Oops!
  • Ohh if you remember let me know :) Diabetes I and II both run in the fam, also. Don't want kids to develop I if I can avoid it. I didn't, luckily. On a side note though, diet affects your insulin levels so diet must affect it just as much. The heathier the diet the more likely your body can regulate it on its own.
  • LOL! Yeah I'm not just tracking my saturated fats. I track them all I had changed it for a minute to see what it said I was at on it. As far as my goals I have em adjusted to 35% carbs, 30% protein, 35% fat. Other websites told me to do 20 carbs, 50 protein and 30 fat but I couldnt eat that much protein in a day. To top it…
  • I am not really worried about loosing weight by my fats. I am trying to learn what is good and bad on foods. Heart disease runs in the family. I have lost several loved ones to heart attacks and am trying to avoid it happening to me and my children :) I guess what I am wondering should I watch my fats all together or just…
  • Yeah, I would agree with adding a recipe for it. I know many will have different results because we are tweaking it for nutrition. I changed alot to make it more healthy. When I had it at Chili's they didn't have chips or cheese and is awesome. The cilantro and lime mix perfectly together. I also used brown rice to make…
  • I plan on seeing a doctor to make sure what my MHR is, but I am waiting till school starts again or maybe when I go get my books. I live in country and getting to docs takes alot of gas so gotta have many reasons to go :)
  • I feel fine. I normally start to notice when it gets above 90. I am wearing a watch to track my HR for now. I went to my gpas to check the watches accuracy today and have my blood pressure checked. I think I am just pushing it to hard. When I exercised today, I just didn't bring it up to tempo like the videos do. Till I…
