I would try to continue running outside as it works more of your muscles. Running on a treadmill offers no variety, to where running outside you face uphills, downhills, turns, and as well weather changes. I started running about 2 years ago, and obtained all my knowledge and advice from the MFP Forums. It is here where I…

First 5x5 workout so I was unsure of what weight to use. Squats 5@45 BP 5@45 BR 5@55 Followed up with calf raises 2x20@40, assisted pullups 5x5, bicep curls 5x5@10, and arc trainer for cardio. Question : does anyone do SL on back to back days?

^^^^^^^ This ^^^^^^^ I couldnt have said it any better than what she said. I too quit smoking on Oct 24th of this past year. Previously I had quit twice before and gained weight and went right back to smoking because I didnt want to gain weight. Even my second time quitting I was told to give your body 6 months to adjust…

Wow....I have been waiting on this post for quite sometime. You have to be proud of yourself and the accomplishments you have made. Not only on the outside but for what you have done for yourself on the inside. For those of you that are not friends on MFP with her, I can truly say she is an inspiration to many of us. She…

Yeah.....I finished I finished !!!!! Yesterday was my last day on the C25K program and it was awesome. If someone had asked me 8 weeks ago to run 35 minutes straight I would have died laughing. Now to be honest yesterday was horrible if I must say so myself. I have been sick all week with a cold and no energy. I knew I had…

Awesome job !!!! Taking the initial step is the hardest. I quit smoking Oct 25th, 2011 and havent looked back once. I knew smoking was bad for me and my family, I just had to take that step. Once I made that step I had to figure out what I was going to replace it with. We all know that when you quit smoking you gain…

I understand exactly where you are coming from. I was there not too long ago. Thanks to the help of my MFP friends I am beginning to understand it all. I am in to lose weight as well but to also gain muscle tone. I use the Whey Protein after my workout(s). I usually blend yogurt (flavor of choice), almond milk…

Completed Week 8 Day 1 yesterday. It went better than I had expected. My goal each time is just to stay running for the given amount of time. My speed and distance is definitely not up to what everyone is doing, but it will come with time. During the run, my first mile was a 10:30 min mile and the second mile was 11…

The run today consisted of 5 min warm up 28 min run and finished with a 5 min cool down. @Eric....great job today you are doing awesome!!!!! Lets complete this…
