Add me! I'm down one marathon, 9 half marathons, several sprints tris, and one half ironman. And yes! I AM OBESE!! I'm rehabing from an IT band injury. So I'm not logging alot of miles, but I'm getting out and about

I've used it. The goal is forward progress no matter how you get there.

Water. Plain and Simple. Dehydration causes fatigue. It's amazing what water can do

Yep. We are dealing with Hurricane Isaac, and we've been through 2 pans in 2 days. I'm not even feeling guilty about it.

I get chafing under my bra in the front and some in the back. Bodyglide and lubs don't work for me in those sections during the heat and humidity here in South MS. The best thing I've had to prevent chafing is PAPER tape. The medical tape kind. BEST idea I've ever learned. I use a Moving Comfort Fiona bra, but looking for…

I'll be at IMFL volunteering this year in hopes to sign up for IMFL 2013~

You should watch your sodium too. Too much sodium will wear on your kidneys and heart. America eats entirely too much sodium. MFP sodium range IS way over what it should be.

Half ironman finish in Augusta 70.3 this year. Next year looking at IMFL. We'll see.

Enjoy yourself! We are volunteering at Ironman Florida this year and are planning to sleep in our Yukon. Our hours are 9PM to 11:45PM, then we have to be up early to register, so whats the point of paying for a room?!

Try spin. Go for 30 minutes at a time. Sit down and spin the wheels if you get tired. Stand up through some of the song, sit down when you get tired. When they play that same song at the next class, try to stand up longer. Don't NOT go. You should try it. Go at your own pace. I promise you no one is watching. When I spin,…

No reason you HAVE to get married. Why should one piece of paper change any commitment two people have to each other. I was married once. Divorced. Been dating a guy for 4 years, and at first he wanted to get married once in his life. Now, he understands what I mean. Why should one piece of paper change anything.

This is exactly what I've been doing. 1/2 to 3 miles off the bike EVERY TIME. Not a hard brick, but it has made a huge difference in how I feel.

I have a 13.1 ( eight half marathons done!!) and a 26.2 for my one marathon..hope to do another next year. Also a "girls tri harder" with a pic of a girl swim bike and running. I plan on taking my 13.1 off once I get my 70.3 this fall in Augusta! First tri of the season is this Saturday for us. Hoping to take off lots of…

Oh, EAR PLUGS!!! You can wear them in races too. I LOVE THEM! I read somewhere that putting a tennis ball between your chin and chest while swimming can help you with the head thing.

SWIM LESSONS!!! It's nice to have someone SEE what you're doing and tell you. I am a sucky swimmer. Used to just be HORRIBLE at it, but now I just suck. We had a free trial class at the YMCA, at 0530 three days a week where we would be shown drills and have time trial swims. I had the same problem with the head tilted up…

If you're warm before you run, then you're overdressed.

Cotton is just a bad idea all the way around. Sweat and if it rains may cause you some major chafing. I live in Mississippi, and although we can get a away with mostly shorts and long sleeves here in 37 degree weather, it may be different there. I myself might go with capri running tights, and a long sleeve tech DRI shirt.…

<~~~ CRAZYYYYYY. I'll be doing my 7th half marathon Jan 8. Lucky me, I forgot how close it was while I was on vacation last week. I've done one marathon. I'm training for my second in March. It's hard, but not like it used to be. I learn something new every race! Good luck!

While I'm no expert, "carbing up" the night before a race can lead to stomach problems in the mornings.....I've done 5 half marathons, I used to eat spaghetti the night before a race, now, usually, we are out of town with friends, so I stick with something that won't upset the tummy, and I do the SAME THING every race…

I started running in Feb 2010. My first 5k was March 2010 at 38:59. My latest 5k was October this year and I PR'd at 27:34. Also I ran my first marathon in San Antonio Nov 2010---took me a long 6 hours and 36 minutes. I'll be doing my second marathon in March 2012. ( By the way, don't do that, you really should be running…
