Same boat! Add me!

I agree with ALL of these! Also my skin is clearer and most of the fogginess that I attributed to "mommy brain" is disappearing.

Well, based on data out there supporting heart rate zone training, I've decided to try to keep my training about 60-75% for a few weeks and see how it goes. The problem is that if I follow Jillian's DVDs to the T, I usually end up in the 90-100% zone. It doesn't feel good (can't talk through it), but my perfectionist side…

Hmmm...I'm going to have to think on this. I'm not sure I completely buy that the zones are merely a myth, but I still need to do some more research on the subject, I guess. This information below (from the site mentioned above) is exactly what I'm talking about. Is my body reaching such a high level that I am merely…

lol Not quite what I had in mind, but I am sure exercise in the bedroom provides its own health benefits. :D

BIG difference! I bet you feel so much better now!! Awesome work right there!

^ This! I don't go for all old guys, but Harrison Ford always has and always will do it for me. My hubby thinks I'm weird, but *sigh* you just can't argue with Indy. <3

I've been there before with the depression and alternate work schedules. It is tough. I am proud of you for stepping up and deciding to make this work. Even if you can only alter your diet for now, that's a step in the right direction. Once you are ready to add something else, try a walk once a week when you are off work…

You can do it! I've been moving slowly and lost 25 lbs in 8 months, but if you are dedicated the entire time, I'm sure you can lose more. I was right at your current weight (and height at 5'6") when I started. Exercise to get that metabolism burning, and count those calories to help you make wiser food choices. At first it…

Hi! First off, congratulations on your decision to make your health a priority! I also stay home with my kids during the day (work part-time in the evening) and I know how difficult it can be to make time for yourself. I've been there, and still struggle with it occassionally. Make your health a priority and you will have…

Feel free to add me! I've been at this off and on for over a year now, but re-dedicated to it the beginning of this year. I struggle with weekends too, and trying to adapt menus for holidays and other family traditions.

Just a thought....I have heard that free range chicken eggs have less cholesterol than the typical varieties. I've been researching the same to try to figure out how to keep my husband's cholesterol in check. I will have to research the butter and such info - sounds interesting. I am a strong proponent (though still…

Feel free to add me. I'm looking to branch out some more in the friend area. :)

Nice. Thanks for the tips everyone! I will be browsing amazon.com later on today. ;)

BIG difference!!! You look awesome!

I do have bad knees too. I had an injury as a teen and they haven't been right since. I modify some of Jillian's workouts and hope I can do that with other ones as well. Thanks for the tips - I'll check those out.

Going to have to try this one! Thanks for sharing!

Awesome job!! So inspirational to me - you started out very close to where I did and are now right where I want to be. Thanks for sharing! You look great!

You look amazing! And I bet you feel sooo much better. I noticed that when I dropped just a small amount, I started to feel better. Can't wait to get closer to your loss amount! Nice work! :D

I'm curious to see answers to this one. I've been considering getting a pedometer for my husband, but perhaps one of these may be a better investment. Thoughts?
-
You look awesome!!! Amazing work, dear! Seriously...amazing! :)

I am trying the Shred for a second time and I have had knee problems with other workouts. If anything gets close to pulling on my knees, I back off and do a job in place or walk in place while they finish that particular move on the video. I do not add the weights on the side lunges and do not complete the full set of reps…

I'm so glad you asked this! I've always been wondering and trying not to overdue it on chest exercises for that very reason. My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I just don't wanna lose my girls! ;)

Congrats on the new baby! And welcome to MFP. Feel free to add me. :)

I did the same. :( I was starving after work so I cooked up a good meal and ate and ate and ate. It was only 500 some cals, but it put me over my limit. My tummy really hurts now, but I must admit - that chicken and veggies was sooo good!
-
I'm always happy to add more friends on here. :) I added you. Anyone is free to add me too. I'm in this for the long haul. ;)

Awesome weight loss! I started about where you were in February (slowly trudging along), and aim to be close to your current weight by the end of this month! Thanks for sharing. You have inspired me to keep it up. :)

Thanks for the thoughts. It is good to know that I am not the only one who gets the guilt routine from my kids when I try to exercise. You are completely right about having to take care of ourselves to avoid the stress on our children later. That is a great way to keep it in perspective. :)
