  • That's quite an intensive workout to be eating 1300 calories...is that 1300 net? Personally, I would make sure I was eating at least most of my exercise calories back, to be getting 1300 net :) Good luck :D
  • This picture literally had me crying with laughter! :D :D
  • I eat between 1300 and 1800 depending on how much exercise I have done, I do try to net at least 1200, sometimes its 1100 but generally around 1200. I've been losing consistently at this calorie level since January, lost 20 pounds so far and 99 to go :D
  • agreed about skyrim! what a game :D I would honestly take it easy and just watch what you are eating, you don't want to hurt yourself further, if you really want to do something some slow walking, or something very low impact just get your heart going a little. Hope its better soon! x
  • Never thought of mixing it with coffee, I don't use protein powder atm but am planning on starting and that's a great idea :D
  • I have 6 ear piercings, two normal lobe on one, two lobe and cartilage on the other, nose tongue twice (venoms) and nipples ...love love love piercings, just not sure what next! :D
  • I'm interested to see some before and afters too. After having two very large children through sections, at only 5'2, plus being obese, Im accepting that there will always be loose skin there...just curious to see what it may look like I guess. I get what you are saying Dexy about whats the point in losing weight if you…
  • Ive only lost a stone, but Ive never even been inside a gym! I honestly think I would find it really daunting! I work out at home a lot, zumba 2 on the wii, tae bo, I have a weights bench and dumbells and a rowing machine, also I try to walk (fast!) as often as possible. I couldnt afford to pay for the gym either, as you…
  • I also pre-log in most of my days as most of my meals are planned head of time anyway, and sometimes Im not sure if I'll have the time later on to do it. Also, it does help me stick to it as I know how much I can have with my main meals, and how much is left early on if I'm still a little hungry :)
  • I got a cheapish HRM from a local supermarket (tesco) over a week ago and its really helped my workouts. MFP wasn't actually overestimating mine that hugely, which tells me I have been working out pretty hard, it was slightly over, but I would rather have a more exact estimate of my exercise...so far its been great, and…
  • I workout at home to a mix of Wii - Zumba Fitness 2, Wii fit, Xbox - Dance Central, Dvvd's - Tae Bo and Pump it up, also have some dumbells which I do strength training with three times a week. On top of that I've got a rowing machine in the cupboard which Im going to pull out soon, and I walk a lot :) I couldnt afford the…
  • Hey, good luck! I'm also 30 this year and also determined not to be this size then! You can add me, diary is open to friends and im pretty active (read obsessed lol!) :D
  • I get that same crackly sensation when I do high impact cardio, usually lasts up to about 30 minutes and comes and goes. I always thought it was due to the increased blood flow from exercising, it goes away itself so doesnt really bother me :)
  • Diet irn Bru....call it all fizzy juice...try not to drink it that often anymore, once or twice a week max but used to drink it daily!
  • Monday to Friday mornings I do 30-45 mins of cardio, Monday Wednesday and Friday I do strength training, and one weekend I do a longer cardio workout, usually at least an hour :)
  • According to MFP im burning 500-1000 calories every day with exercise, mix of cardio and strength training...I usually reach within 200 of my calorie amount + exercise calories, mainly because I think mfp overestimates the calories you burn...really would love to get a HRM so I had a better idea how much was actually…
  • I have two of my best friends on here...I think its great! We all live quite far away from each other so call each other up to see how we are doing with our weight loss...this just gives another level to that! And I dont mind them seeing anything I say as I'd say the same in person anyway...if you feel uncomfortable don't…
  • Most of the time during the week I pre-log, it actually motivates me to do it, but if I didn't do it I'd take it off...there is no point using mfp if you are going to cheat with food and exercise!
  • See I put on weight when I started taking the pill, but I'm pretty sure it was from me pigging out rather than anything hormonal lol! I'm still on it now and losing weight, it doesn't seem to be effecting my weight loss is any way :D
  • I wish mine would clear up a bit, I've had it since I was a teenager on my elbows and knees, but in the past couple of years it has spread somewhat up my arms as well, I have been at my heaviest recently so can only hope that losing weight helps it! I cant find any creams that help it at all, they make it slightly softer…
  • Based on what I've read since being a member here you should definitely be trying to eat most, if not all of your exercise calories back...and make sure you log everything! Good luck! :D
  • I weigh in at home on my wii on a Wednesday morning, first thing. Only picked a Wednesday as it was the first day I started logging on here properly....I used to be a serial weigher, numerous times a day but find once a week is great, Im not fixating on my weight quite as much anymore! :D
  • Your pics are amazing, the difference is awesome! Well done! :D
  • I do a fairly early morning workout every weekday morning and the only way I can get myself up and motivated is with an app called Alarm Clock Extreme which makes me do maths questions before I can put it on snooze...it definitely works! Once Im up I find it fine, its just actually getting up out of bed thats the problem…
  • That picture about giving up is pretty awesome btw! OK...so you don't want to quit...as everyone else here has said, Hide the scales!! You can get so obsessed so easily in daily fluctuations which are completely normal. Cut back to weighing once a week and just do your best in between. Aim for all your fruit and veg, drink…
  • There is nothing wrong with having friends of the opposite sex...I do, my partner does...I trust him, he trusts me...can't really say any more than that. And also, whoever said males and females can't be friends because of sex, that isn't true, and I'm sure lots of people would agree with me.
  • I would say most people aim for a 1 - 2 pound loss a week, so to me this sounds pretty realistic :) Good luck with it! :D
  • First thing wednesday mornings, after ive been to the toilet and Im just in underwear....coming from someone who used to weigh multiple times a day, once a week is liberating, and scary! haha
  • hi! Im also a mum of two, a ten year old son and three year old daughter. I also study, full time, and mostly look after the house, busy busy :D I have more weight to lose than you but Im here for the long run, am pretty active and my diaries are open, so I'll drop you a friends request if you like :) Fiona
