Wow! Such dogma! Sodium is in all cells and the fluid surrounding them. Without sodium we couldn't live. For people that are sodium sensitive excess dietary sodium can be a problem. It may be prudent to watch your sodium intake. It can lead to water retention is some subsets of people. However, the general advisability of…

Probably the estimate of what you're burning with exercise is off. Try eating back 1/4 or 1/2 of what you estimate your are burning or go back to not eating them back.
-
Keep your spirits up. I thiunk you would do better adding more protein into your diet. Lean meats. Eggs or egg white. Through some almonds or other nuts in there while you are at it.
-
Also Meringue! I really love it and it is nearly pure protein plus what ever you use to sweeten it

You know, if it is working , try something else! Cut back a couple hundred calories for a few weeks. Decrease your carbs. Do something different.
-
In general, work exercise should be part of your activity level and not really logged separately.

Hot mama is right! You look fantastic congratulations!

Many gyms will measure using bioimpedence or use calipers to measure skin fold thickness

If I can't measure and have to guess, I note that so looking back if things aren't as I expected I I'll. Know why

My pat answer to this question is MEASURE. Measure everything that passes your lips, measure you calorie burn with a HRM, and measure your progress. It's human nature to over estimate. Calorie burn and under estimate what we eat. Good luck! Don't be discouraged. If a fat old guy like me can do it, so can you!

Great work! Keep it up.

I consider it a must have. It provides motivation for me and a way to see how much effort I am actually expending. I started with the Polar RS300 and now have th RS800CX. I got the new one to be able to view the beat to beat heart rate recording and the comparability with the polar Pro software package. When biking I also…

I fell in love with my polar RS300SX but decided I wanted the R toR Heart rate recording that comes wit the RS800cx. So I bid on one at ebay and got it for substantially less that the retail price. Just came this evening and I will use it for my biking tomorow. I actually also wear a garmin strap which transmits to my…

As noted above, the USDA food pyramid is purely a political/lobbying instrument. It was not based on scientific study or empirical data (did you ever wonder why it came from the agriculture department?) and in fact when proposed by the then Ag Secretary was rejected by the scientific group. I would not base my dieting plan…

Quite frankly, you have quite a bit of data there. How are you actually doing. All these measures are just estimates. They will be directionally correct, but they didnt come down from God on high. You have weeks of experience and information. How much are you losing? What is your subjective energy like? Have you measured…

Don't get discouraged. The scale isn't everything and progress after the first week or two is slow and steady. But, this is the way you want it to be! Keep up the good work!

If this was true I would be skinny!
-
I generally have a cup of coffee and then do 12 miles on the bike. I take a protein drink immediately after (almost 30 grams) then shower up.
-
Sorry, put cups and grams do not have a simple conversion like you are suggesting! 1 pound (something like 450 grams) of feathers will be WAY more than 1 cup while 1 pound of lead weights wouldn't even be 1/4 cup!
-
I weigh or measure EVERYTHING!
-
AWESOME! Keep up the great work.

It's a pretty tough collection of exercise routines. There is a test of sorts to see if your current physical condition is up to the challenge. I have done the chest and back routine a couple of time because I don't think I am ready to jump right in with the full program as it takes about an hour to 1 and 1/2 hours each…

Hey! If you still have calories left, you didn't eat enough! Don't feel guilty for trying to get them in., plan on how you WILL get them in tomorrow. Starving yourself is not a solution. Make a plan and stick to it. -out

B12 is a vitamin that when taken orally requires a protein called "Intrinsic Factor" in order to be absorbed in the small intestine. So, if you getting shots because you have B12 mal-absorbtion (which is usually caused by intrinsic factor deficiency) YOU CAN NOT GET THE SAME EFFECT FROM ORAL SUPPLEMENTS! There is some…

one word: WATER

If that's the weight you're going to use, I would adjust your weight on here, and increase your starting weight 10 lbs if you want your weight lost to be accurate. This always sucks when the new scale is soooo far off from the previous.....

Big difference. Keep it up!

WOW!

The incredible shrinking woman! Keep up the great work!
